Let us tell you that Metro, which has been continuously enhancing the facilities like ‘Ease of Ticket Booking’ for the passengers across its entire metro network, has now started an easy option for the passengers by introducing QR code-based ticketing facility through Paytm mobile app. . DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar has launched it in the presence of Paytm Chief Business Officer Abhay Sharma.

What is this facility?

With this new facility, passengers can easily get mobile QR ticket by entering their starting and ending stations on the Paytm app under the ‘Metro’ section on the day of their journey. Passengers can enter and exit the stations by simply showing their smartphone in front of the QR code scanner at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gate at the time of journey. Earlier this facility was available only on the Airport Express Line.

Regarding this, Dr. Vikas Kumar says, ‘The launch of this QR-based ticketing for all corridors of Delhi Metro through Paytm will provide better and seamless movement to millions of metro passengers in the national capital. In recent times, we have taken several measures to facilitate digital ticketing, showing our commitment to the ‘Digital India’ initiative, which aims to make government services available electronically with better online infrastructure and inclusivity.

In recent times, DMRC has launched several initiatives like QR ticketing through mobile apps, ticket vending machines, ticket windows, WhatsApp etc., which accept all popular digital payment methods.
