Minimum basic salary can be Rs 51480

According to different reports, it can be increased from 2.57 to 2.86. If this happens, then according to the fitment factor of 2.86, the minimum basic salary can increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 51480.

What is the fitment factor?

The Pay Commission revises salaries, pensions and allowances through this fitment factor. This is the method by which the salary and pension of government employees are calculated. Factors like inflation, requirement of employees etc. are included in this.

50 lakh government employees can get the benefit of this pay commission. 60 lakh pensioners can also get its benefit. According to reports, this pay commission can be implemented on 1 January 2026.
