How is the new portal and what will be its facilities?

The new portal swik.meity.gov.in launched by the ministry will make the services related to Aadhaar verification more accessible and comprehensive. Through this, government and non-government organizations can apply for permission for Aadhaar verification. This initiative will eliminate the need for citizens to submit documents repeatedly to verify their identity.

Private companies will also get the facility of Aadhaar face authentication

The government amended the Aadhaar Act on January 31, 2025, under which now various private sector companies will also be able to use Aadhaar face authentication. These include hospitality, healthcare, e-commerce, education and credit rating services. Earlier this facility was available only to government departments, but now this facility has been provided to private companies as well.
