Airtel, Jio, and VI, the three major operators in our country, allow you to convert physical SIM to eSIM in India. However, eSIM can only be used in devices that are compatible with eSIM. So, if you want to convert your physical SIM into E-SIM, then here we are telling you how to do it. Today we are telling you the method of telecom operator Jio.

How to activate eSIM on Jio?

  • First of all make sure that your device is compatible with Jio eSIM. You can also check it through the official Jio website.
  • Then open Settings and then tap on About to check your IMEI and EID number.
  • Now GETESIM from your Android device with an active Jio SIM32 digit EID 15 digit IMEISend SMS to 199.
  • You will receive a 19 digit eSIM number and your eSIM profile configuration details.
  • Now again an SMS has to be done to 199. This message will be – SIMCHG19 digit eSIM number
  • This you will get update about eSIM processing after 2 hours.
  • After receiving the SMS, confirm it by sending ‘1’ to 183.
  • Now you will get a call on your Jio number asking you to share your 19 digit eSIM number.
  • Immediately after this you will get a confirmation message to confirm your new eSIM.
