Noida – As the pollution level in Gautam Budh Nagar continues to reach a dangerous level, the district administration has taken a strict decision late last night and ordered to keep all the schools closed till November 23.

Issuing this order, District Officer Manish Verma said that the health of children is given priority and in this situation the operation of schools is unsafe. If children come to school in this condition, they may face health problems. Therefore, physical classes have been suspended for a few days.

Schools have been closed in view of increasing air pollution, but instructions have been given to continue online classes so that children’s education is not disrupted. The district administration has asked all the schools to continue the online classes so that the education of the children can be done smoothly.

Pollution levels above hazardous

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Noida and surrounding areas has reached above 300, which falls under the extremely hazardous category. According to the Aaqicn.org site, it was even recorded above 700 in some areas. This level is extremely harmful to health and can be extremely dangerous especially for children, elderly and people suffering from respiratory and asthma related diseases.
