Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, announced the launch of its dedicated SME corporate booking platform, empowering India’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
with direct access to exclusive corporate fare benefits on both domestic and international flights. SMEs can register on Akasa Air’s official platform at https://sme.akasaair.com/login.

India-based SMEs can now register directly on the Akasa Air website and manage their bookings directly across the airline’s entire domestic and international network. They will be offered access to specially curated corporate fares, value add-ons along with Saver and Flexi fares, and benefits including:

• Discount on corporate fares using promo code CSME04PS
• Complimentary standard seat with snack and beverage on every flight
• Up to 50% discount on premium seating, early boarding, and priority check-in
• International Travel Benefits: Enhanced flexibility, nil cancellation charges (up to 4 hours before departure), and 30 kg baggage allowance on key international routes.

Commenting on the initiative, Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “Over the past two and a half years, we’ve observed robust and consistent growth in our corporate portfolio, reflecting the increasing demand for business travel in India.

Domestic airlines Akash Air is going to start its services on another route from next month. The airline has announced to start services from Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam from 10 December.

With this flight, it will be the 10th destination in the network of the airline which started operations in August . Along with this, the airline is also increasing the number of flights on its existing routes. The airline had already disclosed its expansion plans and told that it would gradually increase the number of flights and by the end of the year, the number of flights per week would exceed 450.

What is the expansion plan of the airline

The airline said in a statement that the company will start two daily flights on the Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam route. In this, the first phase will start from 10 December and the second phase will start from 12 December. The airline recently announced double daily flights between Bengaluru and Pune from November 26 and a third flight on the route from December 10.

Akash Air on Friday said it will launch the third flight on December 17 due to high demand. Connectivity between Bangalore-Ahmedabad is further increasing the facility. With the launch of these services, Aakash Air will now operate 24 daily flights from Bengaluru connecting eight cities – Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Kochi, Guwahati, Pune and Visakhapatnam, according to the statement. Aakash Air is expected to cross over 450 weekly flights on a total of fourteen routes across 10 cities by mid-December.

About 22 thousand flights every week in the winter season

On the other hand, if we talk about the entire aviation sector, then the airlines in the country will operate 21,941 flights every week on domestic routes in the winter session starting from 30 October. This number of weekly flights is 1.55 per cent lower than the 22,287 flights operated per week in the last winter season. The winter program will be effective from 30 October 2022 to 25 March 2023. These flights have been approved by DGCA.

These flights will be operated from 105 airports. These airports include the recently opened Deoghar, Shimla and Rourkela. In these total 21,941 flights, there are 10,085 flights of IndiGo and 3,193 flights of SpiceJet. Apart from this, there are 1990 flights of Air India, 1941 of Vistara, 1462 of Air Asia, 1390 of Go Air, 1034 of Alliance Air, 479 of Akash Air, 214 of Fly Big and 153 of Star Air.
