Amit Shah On Operation Sindoor: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday openly praised the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and said that this operation has completely exposed Pakistan before the world. Shah claimed that Pakistani army officers attend the funerals of terrorists and this is proof that the neighboring country sponsors terrorism.

Home Minister Amit Shah was speaking at the Border Security Force (BSF) raising ceremony and Rustomji Memorial Lecture. He said, “Operation Sindoor is the result of strong political will of our Prime Minister, accurate information from intelligence agencies and lethal action by our army. When all these three come together, such operations are possible.”

Home Minister Amit Shah said, ‘We had to save the lives of our Indians… Police, Army did a very good job.’ The Army was targeted in Uri… For the first time we did a surgical strike and attacked terrorist hideouts. We hoped that this would send a strong message to Pakistan but we were targeted again. We did the Balakot strike. But Pakistan crossed all limits in Pahalgam. The whole world is praising our armed forces for carrying out precise strikes on terrorist camps. When Pahalgam was targeted, we launched Operation Sindoor on May 9 and targeted 9 terrorist camps and destroyed their camps.

Terrorists crossed all boundaries in Pahalgam

Shah said, ‘Our country has been facing Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for decades.’ Pakistan has carried out several major terrorist attacks in India in the past years but it has never received a response as strong as it has now. Recalling the terrorist incident in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “In Pahalgam, Pakistan-backed terrorists killed innocent people after asking them about their religion, that too in front of their families.”

We did not target military installations or airbases first.

Shah said, ‘Under Operation Sindoor, 9 terrorist hideouts were destroyed in a matter of minutes, 2 of which were headquarters.’ But it is important to understand that we did not target any military base or airbase in Pakistan. We only destroyed those terrorist hideouts that were responsible for crimes on Indian soil.

Operation Sindoor: A symbol of confidence and decisive leadership

Shah stressed that Operation Sindoor was not just a military operation but a symbol of new confidence and decisive leadership in India’s policy. Pakistan has been using terrorism as a strategy for a long time but that policy will not work now. Operation Sindoor has made it clear that India is no longer a country that just suffers, but responds.
