The SLPRB, Assam, has opened online applications for 1715 Constable positions.

Note: Applicants with Higher Secondary (Class 12) or higher qualifications may opt to apply for both branches. You have to mark your preference clearly during the application process.

Physical & Medical Standards

Applicants must meet specific physical standards and should be in good general health, free from physical deformities, flat feet, knock-knees, or varicose veins. Vision must be 6/6 in one eye & not poorer than 6/9 in the other eye without correction.

Selection Process

The selection process is multi-stage, followed by the generation of a final merit list.

1. Document Verification

2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest, and weight.

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes running, long jump, etc. (PET marks are often weighted, e.g., 60 marks for male UB, 40 marks for female UB).

4. Written Examination: Objective-type test for shortlisted candidates (5 times the vacancies).

5. Written Exam Syllabus: Elementary arithmetic, general English, logical reasoning/mental ability, Assam GK, general awareness, and current affairs.

6. Oral/Viva-Voce (as applicable)

Step-by-Step Application Guide

Applications are online only through the official SLPRB portal.

1. Visit the official website: slprbassam.in.

2. Locate the “Recruitment” section and click the link for the Assam Police Constable (UB/AB) 2026 online application.

3. Register by clicking “New Registration.” Use a valid mobile number and email ID to generate your Application ID.

4. Log In using your Application ID/mobile number and password.

5. Select Post: Choose Constable (UB), Constable (AB), or both, and clearly mark your preference.

6. Fill Details: Accurately enter personal, address, category, and educational qualification details, including your Assam Employment Exchange registration.

7. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature, and required documents (HSLC/HS admit card for age proof, educational certificates, caste certificate, NCC certificate, etc.) in the specified format and size.

8. Review the entire form thoroughly. Corrections are often not allowed after final submission.

9. Final Submit and confirm, then download and print the acknowledgment form for future reference.
