Many banks are already offering UPI payment facility to their customers through credit cards. Now Axis Bank Rupay Credit Card users will also be able to take advantage of this facility. Axis Bank’s RuPay Credit Card can be used through select UPI-enabled apps such as BHIM, Paytm, PayZapp, Mobikwik, Freecharge.

This means that now Axis Bank customers will be able to link their RuPay Credit Card with select UPI apps. You will be able to make UPI payments in exactly the same way as you do with a bank account. Just here the money will be deducted from your Rupay credit card.

Let us tell you that Rupay Credit Card on UPI facility was started last year. Now you will be able to pay by credit card by scanning at the neighborhood shop. However, through RuPay Credit Card, you can pay only by scanning the Merchant UPI QR Code. Can’t make P2P payments.

Customers of 7 banks are getting the facility of making UPI payment through Credit Card?
Rupay credit from 7 banks has gone live on select UPI apps like BHIM, Paytm, Mobikwik, PayZapp, Freecharge. In future, you will be able to link your RuPay Credit Card with other UPI apps as well. Currently, RuPay credit card holders of Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Canara Bank can link their cards to select UPI apps.

How to link RuPay Credit Card with BHIM App

• First open the BHIM app.
• After this click on the linked bank account.
• Now on clicking on +, 2 options appear in Add Account – Bank Account and Credit Card.
• After clicking on the credit card, on clicking on the related card, the details of the credit card linked to your mobile number will come. (You can also do this process after clicking on the banner Rupay Credit Card on UPI appearing on the home page.)
• Now enter the last 6 digits and validity of the credit card.
• After this enter the OTP received on the mobile.
• Create UPI PIN. In this way the process of registration will be completed.
• Now scan the merchant UPI QR code and select Rupay Credit Card and complete the payment by entering the UPI PIN.
• Scan the merchant’s UPI or QR Code in the UPI app.
• Now enter the amount you want to pay.
• After this you choose the linked RuPay Credit Card.
• Now complete the payment by entering the UPI PIN.

A depositor can choose the FD tenure in Axis Bank from a minimum tenure of 7 days to a maximum of 10 years. The rates on bulk FDs have also been increased from Rs 2 crore to Rs 100 crore and above.

Increase in FD of general category-

Axis Bank’s highest rate for general category on FDs below Rs 2 crore is 5.75 per cent for 1 year 11 days to 1 year 25 days, and 5 years to 10 years.

It is offering 5.70 per cent rate on FDs with tenures ranging from 2 years to less than 5 years. The FD rate from 1 year 25 days to less than 2 years is 5.60 percent. The rate is 5.45 per cent on tenure of 1 year and 11 days less than one year. Apart from this, the FD rate of 9 months to less than 1 year is 4.75 percent.

The interest rate on FDs ranging from 6 months to less than 9 months is 4.65 percent, while on FDs of 3 months to less than 6 months, the interest rate is 3.75 percent. On FDs ranging from 30 days to less than 3 months, the rate is 3.25 per cent, and the rate is 2.75 per cent on tenures of 7 days to 29 days.

FD rate for senior citizens-

On FDs below Rs 2 crore, the bank is offering the highest interest rate of 6.50 per cent on tenures of 1 year 11 days to 1 year 25 days, and 5 years to 10 years. The rate for 2 years to less than 5 years is 6.45 per cent. In addition, the rate is 6.35 per cent for tenures ranging from 1 year 25 days to less than 2 years.

Axis Bank is offering 6.20 per cent rate on FDs of less than 1 year and 11 days, while interest rate on FDs of 9 months to less than 1 year is 5 per cent.

The interest rate on FDs from 6 months to less than 9 months is 4.90 percent. Apart from this, 3.75 percent interest is being given on FDs ranging from 3 months to less than 6 months.

The rate on FDs ranging from 30 days to less than 3 months is 3.25 percent. Axis Bank is offering 2.75 percent interest rate on the smallest FD from 7 days to 29 days.
