IMPS New Service: National Payment Corporation of India is going to make IMPS service more convenient. Under this, now up to Rs 5 lakh can be sent directly without linking the beneficiary to the bank account.

For this, only the mobile number of the beneficiary and the name registered in the bank will be required. This feature will be coming soon. In the present system, to send money through IMPS, registration has to be done by entering the name of the beneficiary, his bank account number and IFSC code of the bank.

This process of registration also takes some time. The amount cannot be sent until the beneficiary details are linked to the other account. Once the account is linked, the beneficiary receives the money through IMPS immediately. After the implementation of the new rule, the process of adding account details will not have to be completed.

Will be able to verify the beneficiary

It is being told that the new service of IMPS will also provide the facility to verify the beneficiary. With this, the sender of money will be able to see whether the account number of the person to whom he is sending the money is correct or not. The new feature will help the sender to double check the name entered in the bank details.

There will be expansion in these areas

NPCI said this new arrangement will be extended to corporates with wholesale and retail transactions. Its upper limit will vary from bank to bank depending on their policies.

Two ways to send money right now

– In the first method, to send money one has to use the bank account number, bank name and IFSC code of the bank. Using these, the beneficiary’s account has to be linked to one’s own account.
– The second method involves using mobile number and Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) to identify the beneficiary while sending money from one bank account to another. MMID is a seven digit number which the bank issues to its customer.

You will have old mutilated notes, apart from this, while shopping in the market, mutilated notes come in hand by mistake and old or mutilated notes are the oldest way to reach you. It is the same, putting torn notes in the bundle and running it in the market.

Now the biggest problem is where to change these bad notes. So today we are telling you how to change notes in the bank. Here you can exchange notes up to the specified limit without any commission. Just know this rule.

Which notes can be exchanged?

RBI has made some rules regarding changing the notes, such as the signature of the RBI Governor, Gandhiji’s watermark and serial number should be visible on the note. If these security standards remain on the note, then the bank cannot refuse to exchange the note. If you have torn notes of 5, 10, 20 or 50 rupees, then it is necessary to have at least half of these notes. If this does not happen then these notes cannot be changed. If the number of torn notes is more than 20 and their value is above 5 thousand rupees, then you will also have to deposit some fee to change the note.

Can a note in multiple pieces be exchanged?

If you have notes in several pieces, they can also be exchanged. Although the process of changing them is a bit complicated. These notes have to be sent to the Reserve Bank branch through post. Along with this, you have to provide your bank account number, branch name, IFSC code information.

Which notes cannot be exchanged?

The note which is broken into pieces or the note is burnt, then that note cannot be changed in any ordinary bank. If you want to change such notes, then you will have to contact RBI directly. Even if slogans or political messages are written on the notes, the bank does not change that note. Apart from this, if the bank official feels that the note has been deliberately torn or cut, then in such a situation the bank may refuse to exchange the note.

PNB customer alert: If your account is also in PNB bank then there is an important update for you. Punjab National Bank has given big information by tweeting. If you do not listen to the bank, then your bank account may also be closed or there may be a ban on account transactions.

If you are also a customer of Punjab National Bank, then there is important news for you. If you have not done KYC till now, get it done immediately. The bank has appealed to the customers to update KYC. The bank has said that all customers should get KYC done by 12 December 2022. For the last several months, the bank has been appealing to its customers to update KYC (know your customer). By getting KYC done, the bank account of the customers will remain active, otherwise the customers will not be able to transfer funds.

PNB gave information

Punjab National Bank has tweeted to its customers that all customers should get their KYC updated. According to the information given by the bank, if you have not updated your KYC yet, then from December 12, you will not be able to do transactions from your account. Information in this regard has been given by issuing instructions from the Reserve Bank of India.

Know what is KYC?

Let us tell you that the full form of KYC is ‘Know Your Customer’. Actually, KYC is a document giving information about a customer. Under this, customers write all the necessary information about themselves. In the field of banking, every 6 months or 1 year banks have to fill KYC form from their customers. In this KYC form, you have to fill your name, bank account number, PAN card number, Aadhaar card number, mobile number and complete address. In this way the bank gets all the information of the customer. KYC is very easy to do. You can easily do it sitting at home.

KYC can be done by going to the bank

If you want to go to the bank and get it done, you can do that too. For this, first of all, you go to the branch of the bank in which you have a bank account. Go there and take the KYC form from the concerned desk and after filling that form and attaching all the necessary documents in it, submit it. Your KYC gets updated within 3 working days after the KYC form is submitted.

Do KYC like this sitting at home

– Even if you want to do KYC sitting at home, you can do it.
For this you can e-mail your document bank.
You can also complete KYC by calling OTP on mobile through Aadhaar.
Many banks also provide KYC facility through net banking.
– If your bank is also providing this facility and you do net banking, then you can easily complete KYC sitting at home.

The deadline for submission of “Life Certificate” for government pensioners is slowly approaching. The last date to submit this certificate is 30 November 2022.

All pensioners have to submit their life certificate every year in November to pension disbursing authorities like banks and post offices to get the benefit of monthly pension regularly.

If pensioners wish, they can submit their life certificate by visiting the bank and post office personally or online. Apart from this there are 5 other ways pensioners can submit their Annual Life Certificate manually or digitally:

Through the portal, pensioners can submit their life certificate online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal/app. For this, pensioners will have to provide their fingerprints using UIDAI-mandated devices.

To generate the certificate, the pensioners will first have to register on the Jeevan Pramaan portal. For this, they have to download and open the Jeevan Pramaan app. After that select the option of New Registration, enter Aadhar Number, Bank Account Number, Name, Mobile Number and Pension Payment Order (PPO).

The Face App allows government pensioners to submit digital life certificates using a face-recognition technology system based on the Aadhaar database. For this, go to Google Play Store and download the Aadhaar Face ID app. If you want, you can also download Face App from jeevanpramaan.gov.in. After installing the application submit the latest photo and then get the digital life certificate.

Doorstep Banking

Life Certificate can also be submitted through Doorstep Banking Alliance. A nominal fee has to be paid for this service. After this, the concerned officer will go to the pensioner’s house and complete this process. Many other banks including 12 public sector banks provide “Doorstep Banking” facility to their customers in 100 major cities across the country.

Department of Posts and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) have started doorstep service for submission of digital life certificate through postman. To avail this service, the pensioner will have to download the Postinfo app from Google Play Store.
