The Haryana government has declared a public holiday on July 31 as Martyr Udham Singh’s Balidan Diwas. Government offices, schools, colleges and other institutions remain closed on this day. This holiday is observed to pay tribute to the martyrdom of the brave revolutionary Udham Singh who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. However, banks will not be closed tomorrow on July 31. According to the RBI list, there is no holiday on July 31.
