Harela is considered to be the beginning of Sawan in the hilly state. Harela, the famous folk festival of Uttarakhand, is celebrated in the Kumaon division here. In Kumaon, Harela is considered to be the beginning of the month of Shravan or Sawan and the rainy season.</p>

<p><strong>why are banks closed on tuesday</strong></p>
<p>Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on Tuesday, July 9. Drukpa Tshe-ji is an auspicious occasion for all Buddhists. Being one of the most important events in Buddhism, the Sikkim government declares a bank holiday on this day. The occasion is significant for Buddhists as it is the day when Lord Buddha gave his first sermon on the Four Noble Truths at the Deer Park in Sarnath around 2,500 years ago.</p>
