Bank Holidays: Banks will remain closed for 3 days next week

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a calendar of bank holidays. According to this calendaraccording to, if banks are going to be closed for 3 days in the week.

  • 23 February 2025: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday holiday.
  • 26 February 2025: Due to Mahashivratri, banks will remain closed in many places across the country. These include Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Belapur, Dehradun, Shimla, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhopal and Ahmedabad.
  • 28 February 2025: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok on the occasion of Losar.

How to do banking related work on bank holidays

  • You can use net banking, mobile banking and ATM services even on bank holidays.
  • UPI and online transactions will continue.
  • Even on bank holidays, you can do fund transfer, bill payment and balance check through digital banking.
  • You can transact using ATM and debit/credit cards.
Therefore, if you have to do any important work related to the bank, then you should plan in advance by looking at the list of holidays.

Bank Holidays in February 2025

Bank holidays are given on national festivals, state level events, every Sunday, second and fourth Saturday. This month i.e. in February 2025, banks are going to remain closed for a total of 14 days. However, all these holidays are not applicable simultaneously across the country.
