RBI has released the complete list of bank holidays falling in February. Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days this month, in which the services of banks will be affected due to weekly holidays (Saturday and Sunday) and some regional festivals.

Some of these holidays will be national holidays, while in some states banking services will remain closed due to different festivals. Therefore, if you have to settle banking work in the month of February, then it is important to take care of these holidays in advance.

List of Bank Holidays in February 2025

• February 2: All banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.
• February 3: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Saraswati Puja .
• February 8: Being the second Saturday of the month, there will be a bank holiday across the country.
• February 9: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
• February 11: Banks will remain closed in Chennai due to Thai Poosam.
• February 12: Banks will remain closed in Shimla on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti.
• February 15: Banks will remain closed in Imphal on account of Lui-Ngai-Ni.
• February 16: Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.
• February 19: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur on account of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.
• February 20: Banks will remain closed in Aizawl and Itanagar on account of State Day.
• February 22: All banks across the country will remain closed as it is the fourth Saturday of the month.
• February 23: All banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.
• February 26: Most banks across the country will remain closed due to Mahashivratri.
• February 28: Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Losar in Gangtok.

February 18 (Mahashivratri) – Banks will remain closed in some states

– February 19 (Sunday) – Weekly Holiday

– February 25 (Saturday) – Weekly Holiday

– February 26 (Sunday) – Weekly Holiday

It is a matter of relief for the common people that banks will remain closed for fewer days in February as compared to January. That means you will get more days to deal with bank related work. Banks remained closed for a total of 14 days in January.

Let us tell you that the list of bank holidays also includes national holidays and holidays given by the central and state governments. The Center observes 26 January (Republic Day), 15 August (Independence Day) and 2 October (Gandhi Jayanti) as national holidays.
