HDFC Bank Service and Downtime Schedule on 9th May 2025

The bank’s debit card service will not work from 12:30 am to 2:30 am on May 9. During this time, customers will not be able to do either online or offline transactions.

Impact on e-commerce transactions

Shopping on e-commerce sites using HDFC Bank cards will not be possible from 12:30 AM to 2:00 AM IST on May 9.

Credit card service and statements not available

All HDFC Bank credit card services and statement download facilities will be closed from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM IST.

This service of HDFC Bank will not be available on May 10, 2025

Net banking and mobile app services down

Viewing account information through net banking and mobile banking apps, fund transfers (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS), merchant payments and instant account opening services will not work from 2:30 AM to 5:30 AM IST on May 10.

Loan and demat services will also remain disrupted

All loan related services will be temporarily closed from 4:30 AM to 6:30 AM IST.

Demat account and trading related services will be affected from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM IST.

Second downtime of credit card service

HDFC Bank’s credit card services will again be temporarily suspended on May 10 between 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM IST.

UPI service will be closed: 4 hours downtime on May 10

HDFC Bank has said that it is upgrading its UPI infrastructure. Due to this, all UPI related services will be closed from 2:30 am to 6:30 am on May 10. During this time, UPI transactions related to HDFC savings and current accounts, UPI payments from RuPay credit cards, UPI service on HDFC mobile app and transactions from HDFC accounts through third party UPI apps will not be possible.

HDFC Bank has planned a system upgrade for HDFC Bank related services on the given dates, due to which the service will not be available during that time. When will HDFC Bank service not be available

13 July 2024 from 3:00 am to 4:30 pm IST. That is, customers will not get bank service for about 13 hours.

According to HDFC Bank’s email, to minimize inconvenience, we have scheduled this upgrade on the second Saturday of the bank holiday. The bank said that it is then advising its customers to do their banking work earlier. Banks are working to improve their systems to provide better service to customers. HDFC Bank has emailed its customers to inform them that it is upgrading the system to improve online service and manage high traffic.
