<p>Even though today almost every type of banking service is available online and digitally, but still it becomes necessary to go to the bank for many works. In such a situation, it is very important for us to be updated with the banking holidays. So that we can avoid the hassle of going to the bank.</p>
<p><strong>How many days bank will remain closed in May</strong></p>
<p>The bank will remain closed for a total of 12 days on different occasions in May. This includes every Sunday as well as the holiday on every second and fourth Saturday. In the month of May, there will be no work in banks on Maharashtra Day, Buddha Purnima, Maharana Pratap Jayanti and many such occasions. This holiday will be on different days in different zones. Let us have a look at the list of bank holidays.</p>
<p><strong>The bank will remain closed on these occasions in May</strong></p>
<p>The first banking holiday will be on May 1 only. Bank holidays will be observed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Trivandrum on May 1 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labor Day.</p>
<p>After this the next holiday will be on 5th May. Banks in Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar will not be closed on May 5 on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. . After this, on the occasion of Sunday, May 7, banks will remain closed in the whole country.</p>
<p><strong>Banks will remain closed even on these days</strong></p>
<p>After this, on May 9, on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore&#8217;s birth anniversary, the banks of Kolkata zone will remain closed. Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday on 13th May. After this, banks will remain closed in the entire country on Sunday, May 14. Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on May 16 on account of Statehood Day. Due to Sunday on May 21, there will be a holiday in banks.</p>
<p>Banks in Shimla zone will remain closed on May 22 on account of the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap. After this, on May 24, the banks of Tripura zone will remain closed on the occasion of Kazi Nazrul Islam Jayanti. May 27 is the fourth Saturday due to which banks will be closed across the country. After this, banks will remain closed in the whole country on Sunday, May 28.</p>
