Banking Sector in India : Banks in India are soon going to get such a national calling number. Banks will be given such numbers on which customers will be able to call banks and banks will be able to call customers.

This change is being made to increase the security of customers and prevent fraud calls. If this proposal is implemented, then customers will be able to easily identify whether the call is really coming from the bank or not. This is expected to reduce the cases of phone fraud significantly and it will be easier for customers to contact the bank than before.

What is the situation now?

Currently, banks call customers from several outbound numbers of 1600xx series, but customers cannot call back on these numbers. These numbers are only for outgoing calls and there is no facility for incoming calls on them.

What is the new proposal?

Banks have proposed that every bank should get a unique national number which should be in the 1600xx series but should be able to make two-way calls – that is, customers can talk to banks and banks can talk to customers. According to a bank official, a national number for every bank and the facility of inbound calls on it will improve customer security and experience.

What has happened so far?

Banks have discussed this issue with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The banking sector hopes that a concrete decision may come soon on this.

Concerns about recovery agents

Banks have also raised the issue that many banks hand over their debt recovery work to third party agents. In such a situation, the question arises whether it will be mandatory for these agents to use the 1600xx series? On this, banks have sought clear guidelines from RBI and TRAI. Along with this, some relaxation has also been demanded for those customers who have already allowed calls.

Banking System: Banking sector in India is quite big. At the same time, the number of people working in this sector is also very high.

Meanwhile, it is also being seen that people are leaving jobs in private banks. Regarding this, the RBI Governor has said that he is keeping an eye on this issue. In fact, it has been seen for quite some time that employees are leaving jobs in private banks.

Employees quitting their jobs

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das said that the attrition rate of employees in some private sector banks is very high and the central bank is keeping a close watch on this issue. Das said at Business Standard’s annual event ‘BFSI Insight Summit’ that the Reserve Bank is keeping an eye on this issue under regulatory surveillance.

Attrition rate

Some major banks have informed that the attrition rate has exceeded 30 percent. Commenting on this figure, Das said that each bank will have to form a core team to deal with such issues. He also said that the attitude of the youth regarding changing jobs is changing and the youth are now thinking differently on this aspect.

Strong pace of growth in the economy

The RBI chief said that the growth momentum in the Indian economy remains strong and the second quarter GDP figures will surprise everyone. Along with this, he said that geopolitical uncertainty is the biggest risk to global growth, but India is in a better position to deal with possible risks.

This could be the reason

In fact, in the present era, youth are switching jobs quickly. Due to this, along with salary hike, they also get the offer of good designation. Its effect is now being seen in the banking sector also. Due to which employees are leaving jobs in private banks.

The post Bank Job: Employees leaving jobs in private banks, what is the reason for leaving the job? first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
