1. Why the BCCI Moved the Final

Now the shift has sparked a bit of a row between the board and local officials. Actually, the BCCI claims certain local requirements went beyond their established protocols.

The KSCA Response

First, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) issued a media release shortly after the news.

Next, the KSCA stated they were fully prepared to host the matches.

Thus, they claim the BCCI made the choice without a formal talk.

Furthermore, the association respects the final authority of the BCCI.

Specifically, the exact local issues remain a mystery to the public.

Now this year’s setup changes the travel logic for the top teams. Actually, it creates a tougher path for the winner of Qualifier 2.

Logistical Shifts

Moreover, the league aims to stay efficient during this “special case” season.

Consequently, team recovery and travel plans will be key to winning the trophy. Period.

3. Current Standings and RCB’s Form

Now the race for the top four is getting very tight. Actually, several teams are level on points as we head into the final weeks.

The Leaderboard Race

Thus, RCB remains well-placed to qualify for the knockouts.

Additionally, RCB has won four of their five games at the Chinnaswamy this year.

Moreover, they will play their last two home games in Raipur instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is the IPL 2026 final being played?

Now, the final will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31. Thus, it has moved from its original spot in Bengaluru.

Q: Why was the venue changed?

Actually, the BCCI cited “operational and logistical considerations” and issues with local association requirements. Therefore, they reassigned the games to ensure smooth operations.

Q: Which city is hosting the Eliminator?

Actually, New Chandigarh will host both the Eliminator on May 27 and Qualifier 2 on May 29. Therefore, it serves as a major hub for the knockouts.

Q: Does RCB still have a home advantage for the final?

Since the final has moved to Ahmedabad, RCB will not have home advantage even if they qualify. Therefore, they must win on neutral ground.

The Bottom Line

Now the IPL 2026 Venue Shift has shaken up the plans for many fans. While Bengaluru loses a major event, Ahmedabad gains another historic final.

Overall, the goal is to follow BCCI protocols while managing three different playoff cities. Therefore, teams must prepare for extra travel before the big night in Gujarat. Thus, the road to the trophy just got a bit more complex. Meanwhile, we will track the points table as the fight for the top four heats up! Lastly, may the best team win in Ahmedabad!

A big news has come out regarding IPL 2025 in India . The BCCI had stopped the tournament midway due to some reasons. Now if there is talk of resuming it, then cities like Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad can be chosen to host the matches.

There are still 16 matches left in the IPL. It is reported that the BCCI is thinking of resuming the tournament by talking to the government.

A few days ago, tensions between India and Pakistan escalated. Due to this, the BCCI stopped the IPL for a week. It is also not clear that if the IPL is to be resumed in May, then by when will the BCCI take a decision on it. However, the BCCI has decided to keep three cities ready. But BCCI officials say that it is difficult to start the IPL early in the current environment.

According to the report of Cricinfo, the teams have also been informed about this. Many team people say that the remaining matches can be played at the end of the year. A big problem in resuming the IPL in May is to bring back foreign players. As soon as the IPL stopped, the teams dispersed. The players started leaving for their respective countries . It is expected that most of the foreign players will leave India by Saturday.

Teams hope that if the IPL resumes in May, most of the foreign players will return. But they say that if this tournament takes place after May 25, there is no guarantee. The final of IPL 2025 was to be held in Kolkata on May 25. After this many players have to play for other countries. Also, the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) is also to be played at Lord’s between Australia and South Africa from June 11.

A total of 57 matches have been played in IPL 2025. On May 8, the 58th match was going on between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamsala. But it was stopped after 10.1 overs. The IPL has not yet decided whether that match will be played again or not. There are still 12 league matches and four playoff matches left.

Earlier, the first qualifier and eliminator matches were to be held in Hyderabad. Whereas, the second qualifier and the final match were to be held in Kolkata. BCCI is facing many difficulties. The biggest difficulty is to bring back foreign players. Many players have matches with other countries. There is also the WTC final. In such a situation, it will have to be seen when and where the remaining matches of IPL are played.

The post New Update on IPL 2025: Remaining 16 matches will be played in these 3 cities, BCCI will announce the schedule soon first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

After the defeat against Australia, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented some new strict rules for Team India players and their families. According to these rules, if a tournament is 45 days or longer, players can stay with their families for only 14 days.

If the tournament is shorter, this time will be limited to 7 days. Under this decision, it has been made clear that the players’ wives cannot stay with them during the entire tournament. The family will be allowed to stay together for only 2 weeks, which is stricter than the earlier rules. Additionally, the BCC has also decided that all players will now travel in the team bus only, and they will not be allowed to use any other mode of transport. The purpose of this decision is to maintain equality among the team and make the journey more organized and disciplined.

Under the new rules, Gautam Gambhir’s personal manager will also no longer be allowed to sit in the VIP box or team bus. He will be asked to stay in a hotel separate from the team. Earlier, Gambhir’s personal manager was given special facilities many times, but now it will not happen under the rules. BCC has taken this decision so that all the players get facilities at the same level and any kind of inequality can be prevented. Apart from this, BCC has also made it clear that if the player’s luggage is more than 150 kg, then the board will not pay the extra baggage fee. This means that the players will have to control their luggage and travel accordingly.

BCC had a review meeting with Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir after the Australia series. These new rules were discussed in this meeting, so that the performance of the team could be improved. BCC also decided during this time that the team’s structure will be considered while avoiding any kind of haste, so that there is no negative impact before an important tournament like the Champions Trophy.

Performance of the Indian team on the Australia tour

The Indian team had to face a shameful defeat of 1-3 in the recently concluded five-match Border Gavaskar Test series against Australia. Due to this defeat, the Indian team could not enter the final of the World Test Championship (WTC). This was a big setback for Indian cricket as the Indian team did not qualify for the WTC final in any of the first three seasons. After this defeat, many questions were raised in Indian cricket, focusing on the performance of the team’s batsmen and bowlers. Virat Kohli scored only 190 runs in 5 matches, which was an average performance. Rohit Sharma’s performance was even worse, he scored just 31 runs in 3 matches.

One clear thing that came out in this defeat is that the players of the Indian team are proving to be weak in ‘red ball’ cricket. Factors such as carelessness in shot selection, constant mistakes, and lack of mental strength led to the defeat of the Indian team. Rishabh Pant was seen getting out playing risky shots repeatedly, and Virat Kohli seemed unable to play balls outside the off-stump. The situation was no better in the case of bowlers as well. Bowlers like Mohammad Siraj and Harshit Rana were seen losing their rhythm.

Some major weaknesses of the Indian team exposed

The defeat against Australia has exposed some major weaknesses of the Indian team, which the BCC and team management are now planning to focus on. The Indian team needs mental and technical improvement, especially for Test cricket. Apart from this, there is also a need to focus on the fitness level and mental strength of the players. The BCC has also made it clear that now Team India needs to change its strategy, so that their performance can be better in the upcoming Champions Trophy and other important tournaments. In the coming time, the Indian team will play T20 and ODI series against England, and after that will participate in the Champions Trophy in February. This series and tournament can prove to be important for Indian cricket, and the team can get time to improve its weaknesses.

The post BCC’s new rules: BCCI issued strict guidelines for cs and their families.
