The government’s social welfare department has said that it will provide mobile phones to women. The department’s secretary, Vandana Priyasi, made several important announcements, in which special emphasis was placed on the use of mobile phones by workers.

In an important district level review meeting held at Koili Panchayat Government Bhawan under Nanpur block of Sitamarhi district, Social Welfare Department Secretary Vandana Priyasi made several important announcements. The main objective of the meeting was to review the progress of the Child Development Project and to check the ground reality of the departmental work. The Secretary inspected and monitored the four major units of the department and checked the entire system. She clearly stated that all the schemes of the government should not remain limited to papers only, but they should be implemented 100% at the ground level.

Rs 11,000 will be given to buy a mobile

Meanwhile, Secretary Vandana Priyasi made an important announcement to digitally empower Anganwadi workers and said that now each worker will be given financial assistance of Rs 11,000 to buy a mobile. She believes that with the help of smartphones, the workers will be able to complete the tasks of the child development project more effectively. This decision will not only increase the technical knowledge of the workers, but will also help them do reporting and planning related tasks easily.

Government schemes should reach the grassroots level.

In the meeting, the Secretary gave clear instructions to the CDPOs (Child Development Project Officers) and women supervisors to work responsibly to take government schemes to the grassroots level in their respective areas. He also warned that if negligence or laxity is shown at any level, strict action will be taken against the concerned employees. The Secretary gave a message to the departmental employees to work with transparency, punctuality and dedication.

Women empowerment will get a boost

The announcement of money to buy mobile phones created a wave of joy among the Anganwadi workers. Many workers thanked Secretary Vandana Priyasi and said that this initiative will not only make their work easier, but they will now be able to implement schemes related to children and mothers more effectively. This announcement is being considered a big step towards the government’s women empowerment policy.

The post Govt to Provide ₹11,000 Aid and Smartphones to Anganwadi Workers: Know Full Details first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Patna: Giving a big relief to the common people, the Bihar government has decided to provide 125 units of free electricity every month. This has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

This facility will be implemented from August 1, 2025, and its basis will be the electricity consumption of July 2025. That is, if a domestic consumer has used 125 units or less of electricity in July, then he will not have to pay any money on 125 units of electricity every month from August. The name of this scheme is “Mukham Mantri Bijli Upbhokta Sahay Yojana”, which has now been extended. For this, the government has also approved an amount of Rs 3,797 crore to the Bihar State Power Company.

Relief also for those installing solar plants

The state government is not only providing free electricity but is also going to encourage people to use solar energy. Therefore, the cabinet has also decided that the government will provide financial assistance to those who want to install solar panels with a capacity of 1.1 kW or more. Poor and cottage consumers will get full assistance (i.e. they will not have to pay money for installing solar plants). The government will also give some part of the subsidy to other domestic consumers, which will make it easier to install solar panels.

What will be the benefit of this decision?

People will save on electricity bills. More and more people will move towards solar energy. Electricity consumption in the state will be reduced and green energy will be promoted. The government says that this will rapidly increase the use of solar energy in Bihar and the common people will get the benefit of electricity saving and clean energy.

Patna: The Bihar government has reduced the tax on aircraft fuel (ATF) from 29% to just 4%. This decision could make air travel cheaper. It is believed that this reduction could reduce the fare on the Patna-Delhi route by up to Rs 1000.

Also, the number of flights departing from Bihar could also increase. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that this could double air travel in the state, which would increase tourism, provide new employment opportunities to people and benefit the economy of Bihar.

What will be the benefit?

Cheaper air travel: Due to the reduction in VAT, the price of air tickets will come down, which will benefit the common man.
Number of flights will increase: Due to lower costs, airlines can start more flights.
Boost to tourism and economy: Cheaper flights will increase the number of tourists in Bihar, which will benefit local businesses.
Better air connectivity: New VAT rates will be applicable at Patna, Gaya and other airports, which will strengthen air connectivity.

No change in Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)

There is no change in the 1% VAT rate already applicable under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). This facility will continue for small airports and regional flights.

The decision was taken on the advice of the Central Government.

The Central Government had requested to reduce VAT on ATF, after which the Bihar Government took this step. Earlier, VAT was less at Gaya Airport, but now this rule will be applicable at all airports including Patna.

How much will the Patna-Delhi airfare be reduced?

Air travel can become cheaper due to the reduction in VAT on ATF. In fact, this will help airlines save a lot per flight. Let’s understand it with an example. Suppose an airline requires an ATF of Rs 10,000 for a flight from Patna to Delhi. Earlier, when the VAT was 29%, Rs 2,900 tax had to be paid on Rs 10,000. That is, the total cost was Rs 12,900. But now that the VAT has been reduced to 4%, only Rs 400 will have to be paid as tax on the same Rs 10,000. Thus, the total cost of ATF will be Rs 10,400. This means that the airline will save about Rs 2,500 on each flight. This saving can help reduce the price of tickets.

Impact on airfar

Airlines usually add a portion of the fuel cost to the ticket price. If this saving is passed on to passengers, Patna-Delhi fares can be reduced by around Rs 500-1,000 per ticket. In fact, the cost in a flight is spread across multiple passengers. For example, if there are 100 passengers on a flight, there will be a saving of around Rs 25 per passenger. But airlines can make up for it and reduce the fare by Rs 500-1,000.

School Holiday: There is good news for school students. They will get the benefit of leave. Orders have also been issued for this. As per the order issued, 7th September has been declared as Janmashtami holiday. However, in many states of the country, orders have been issued to keep schools closed on 6th September on the occasion of Janmashtami.

Notification issued

Meanwhile, schools will remain open on 6th September on the occasion of Janmashtami by the Haryana government. School holidays have been declared in Haryana on 7th September. Haryana Government has given information in this regard on Twitter (X). According to posts on social media, the Haryana government has declared September 7 as a gazetted holiday on the festival of Janmashtami. The notification has been issued by the Chief Secretary.

Explain that earlier the holiday for Janmashtami festival was notified on 6th September. Now it has been amended. In such a situation, other educational and government offices including schools and colleges will remain closed on 7th September. Students including teachers and staff will get the benefit of leave.

Janmashtami holiday in schools in Bihar and UP on September 6

Here in Bihar and UP, school holiday has been declared on 6th September on Janmashtami. Schools and colleges will be closed during this period. Orders have been issued to keep schools from 1st to 12th including colleges, educational institutions and Anganwadi centers closed. In many states, schools were kept closed on 6 September, while in many states schools have been announced to remain closed on 7 September. This has been announced by the Haryana Government through Twitter (Ex).

Bihar: Reconsideration once again on declared-casual holiday

Here in Bihar, the order for the cut off holidays has been withdrawn. In such a situation, from September to December, teachers and employees including students will get the benefit of 23 days leave. These holidays will be declared on the festival. However, despite the withdrawal of the order, the education department said that the declared and casual holidays in the school would be reconsidered once again.

A decision on this can be taken soon. Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the state government is committed under the Right to Education Act 2005 of the department body. In such a situation, it is necessary to conduct classes for at least 200 days in primary school and 220 days in middle school, but at present, due to many reasons, classes are not running for more than 190 days in a year.

After this the holidays were cut. The order has been withdrawn by the state government on the demand of teachers but it will be reconsidered soon and the government may reach some other issue.

The post School Holiday: Department order issued..!
