How it Works: The Mobile Registration Unit

The Bihar Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department will deploy Mobile Registration Units—specially equipped vans with high-speed internet and biometric tools.

The Step-by-Step Process:

1. Online Request: The senior citizen or their family must submit an online application on the official state registration portal.

2. Verification: Department officials verify the age and property documents remotely.

3. Home Visit: Once approved, a Mobile Unit visits the applicant’s residence.

4. Biometric Check: Officials perform fingerprint and iris scans at the doorstep.

5. Final Approval: The entire process is completed within 7 working days.

New Land Info System: No More Fraud

To further safeguard senior citizens, the government is introducing an Updated Land Records check.

• Before the home visit, officials will fetch the latest “Circle Office” data to ensure the land is free from disputes.
