31 December Deadline: Have a locker in State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda (BOB)? If you also have your locker in these two banks, then you should also complete the necessary work by 31 December 2023.

All banks have been asked by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to get their customers to sign the new agreement for bank lockers. If you too have not done this work, then complete it as soon as possible.

31 December Deadline

If you do not do this, there may be problems in the future. Most banks have prepared a revised bank locker agreement covering customer rights, which all customers are required to sign. Banks are informing customers through bank calls, SMS and e-mails that they should come to the bank branch and sign the agreement. Stamp papers have also been kept by the banks for the customers, so that the customers do not have to go anywhere else.

Customers will just have to come to the bank branch. Customers having a locker have to visit the bank branch and provide their Aadhaar, PAN and photograph. After this the stamp paper and bank locker agreement have to be signed.

Deadline for adding nominee in mutual fund account

If you do not declare the nominee in your mutual fund account by December 31, 2023, your mutual fund account will be frozen. This means that if you miss this deadline, you will neither be able to withdraw nor deposit money. Along with mutual funds, it is mandatory for demat account holders also to make nominee by 31st December.

Deadline to file updated ITR

The deadline for filing income tax returns for the financial year 2022-23 i.e. assessment year 2023-24 was July 31, 2023. Those who could not file ITR by this date can still file updated ITR with late fees till December 31, 2023.

Bank Locker Agreement : Customers having bank lockers in India’s largest public sector banks State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda (BOB) have to complete important bank related work by 31st December.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has instructed all banks to get their customers to sign the new agreement for bank lockers. If you also have a bank locker in any branch of SBI or Bank of Baroda, then go there and sign your new bank locker agreement. Otherwise, you may face problems later.

Banks are making phone calls to customers

Most all banks have issued a revised bank locker agreement covering the customer’s rights. Bank locker customers are required to sign on it. Banks are also asking their customers to visit the bank through phone calls, SMS and emails. Not only this, banks are also keeping stamp papers for the customers. So that, customers just have to come to the bank and sign. Customers have to go to the bank and give their Aadhaar, PAN and photo. Also, stamp paper and bank locker agreement will have to be signed.

All banks should complete the signing of bank locker agreement by 31st December.

RBI has ordered all banks to sign the new agreement with bank locker holders by 31 December 2023. All banks have been directed to provide necessary information to their customers as well as update the status of their locker agreements on the efficient portal of RBI. Most people keep their gold and important documents in bank lockers. In such a situation, it is necessary to sign an agreement for the safety of the items kept in the locker.

Bank Privatization News: In the last few times, the central government has made major changes in many public sector banks. Within the last three years, the Modi government at the Center has reduced the number of public sector banks from 27 to 12.

Now the privatization of many banks is being discussed once again. On this matter, the government has said that even today the banking sector has been recognized as a strategic sector. For some time, there has been continuous news about the privatization of banks, on which now the statement of NITI Aayog has come. On this matter, the commission has issued a list in which it has been told that which banks can be privatized by the government in the coming days. Along with this, it has also been told that privatization of which banks is not being considered at present.

Government will not privatize these banks

Let us tell you that NITI Aayog has released a list of some such banks which the government is not going to privatize. These banks are State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank.

Know which banks will be privatized

Let us tell you that apart from the list of banks given above, the government is planning to privatize all the banks. It has also been said in the notice of NITI Aayog that all the banks which were part of the consolidation have been kept out of this list. The Finance Minister had announced that the government is planning to privatize many government banks and insurance companies. In the financial year 2022-23, the government aims to collect a total of Rs 1.75 lakh crore through disinvestment.

Government will soon privatize IDBI Bank

The government’s stake in IDBI Bank is 45.48 per cent. At the same time, LIC has 49.24 percent stake. It is believed that the government will sell some stake in IDBI Bank and LIC will sell some stake, along with the management control will also be handed over to the buyer. The government may soon sell a major stake in the bank. According to media reports, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) may soon invite bids to sell the government’s stake in IDBI Bank.

The post Bank Privatisation: Big news for bank customers, PNB, SBI, BOB, Union Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Bank will become private ? first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Bank of Baroda (BoB) has started the system of withdrawing cash from ATMs through UPI for the first time in public sector banks. Debit card will not be required for this.

Customers can withdraw money through the QR code displayed on the ATM. BOB said in a statement that it is the first public sector bank to offer cash withdrawal facility from ATMs through UPI.

The bank said that by availing its Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility, customers of other participating banks using BHIM UPI and other UPI applications along with its customers will also be able to withdraw cash from ATMs. Customers will not need to use debit cards for cash withdrawal from Bank of Baroda (BoB) ATMs.

This is the process to withdraw money from UPI

To avail this service, the customer has to select the ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ option at the Bank of Baroda ATM. Then after entering the amount to be withdrawn, a QR code will be displayed on the screen of the ATM. This code needs to be scanned using the authorized UPI app for ICCW to authorize the transaction.

Transaction can be done twice in a day

The Bank’s Chief Digital Officer Akhil Handa said that the introduction of ICCW service will give customers the freedom to withdraw cash without using a card. At BOB ATMs, customers can do two transactions in a day and a maximum of Rs 5,000 can be withdrawn at a time.

The post Now the hassle of keeping Debit Card to withdraw money from ATM is over.

If you also use UPI Payment, then there is big news for you. In today’s time, transacting money through UPI has become very common. If we want to transfer even 10 rupees, then we use UPI for that, but in the midst of all this, do you know how many rupees you can transfer in a day.

The limit of all banks is different-

Let us tell you that this limit is different for the customers of all the banks. All bank customers including SBI, ICICI Bank and HDFC get different limits, through which you can transact money.

Let’s check which bank’s UPI Limit –

If you are an SBI customer, you can do a transaction of Rs 1 lakh through UPI in a day.
HDFC Bank customers can also do transactions up to Rs 1 lakh, but for new customers this limit is only Rs 5000.
ICICI Bank customers can do UPI transactions up to Rs 10,000, but for Google Pay users this limit is Rs 25,000.
Bank of Baroda customers can do transactions up to Rs 25,000.
Apart from this, Axis Bank customers can do transactions up to Rs 1 lakh.

RBI is making this plan-

Let us tell you that now RBI is making a new plan regarding UPI payment. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is preparing to limit the volume cap of the country’s Third Party App Providers (TPAP) to 30 percent. Talks are going on with the Reserve Bank of India in this regard.

Only after the approval of RBI, companies like Phone Pay, Google Pay and Paytm will be able to fix its limit, due to which customers may have to face problems in the beginning. However, how much limit will be imposed on this is not yet decided.

If you have any important bank related work on Saturday 19th November, then settle it in advance, because on this day banking services across the country may be affected. On November 19, there may be a strike in banks across the country. The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has called for a one-day strike on November 19.

Bank of Baroda informed that all banking services including ATMs will be affected on this day due to the strike. Public sector Bank of Baroda (BoB) said in a notice sent to the stock exchanges, “The General Secretary of the All India Bank Employees Association has given a strike notice to the Indian Banks Association. The notice states that the members of AIBEA have proposed to go on strike on 19 November 2021 in support of their demands.

Bank taking necessary steps to continue functioning .

Attacks on bankers have increased. Earlier in October, AIBEA general secretary CH Venkatachalam had said in a statement, “The members of the union will go on strike to protest against the targeted harassment of bankers who are active in the union. He had said, “Recently the attacks on such bankers have not only increased, but there is a similarity in all the steps being taken against them. There is a conspiracy in these attacks. Insanity also has some way or the other. So we have to resist, retaliate and counter these attacks at the level of AIBEA.”

Venkatachalam claims that member bankers of AIBEA union have recently been sacked/retrenched from several banks including Sonali Bank, MUFG Bank, Federal Bank and Standard Chartered. He said that more than 3,300 clerk employees have been transferred from one station to another, which is in violation of bilateral agreement and bank-level agreement.

Meanwhile, All India Bank Officers’ Associations (AIBOC) has also accused foreign bank Standard Chartered of violating norms related to human resources . Along with this, while submitting a detailed memorandum, he has also appealed to the CEO of the bank to take appropriate steps in this matter immediately. The union also alleged that the bank was delaying the recognition of Association of Standard Chartered Bank Officers (Kolkata) despite several reminders.

Bank of Baroda (BoB) has increased interest rates by up to 0.20 per cent on retail fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. Along with the announcement, Bank of Baroda has informed that the new rates have become effective from 13 September 2022.

With the Reserve Bank increasing the prime rates, banks are increasing the interest rates to attract more and more deposits. Earlier, Axis Bank had also announced to increase its FD rates last week. In the last one month, many other banks including SBI, HDFC Bank have increased the deposit rates.

How much did Bank of Baroda increase rates

The bank said on Wednesday that domestic and NRO (Resident Ordinary) fixed deposits of one year tenor will now attract 5.50 per cent interest, as against 5.30 per cent earlier. Similarly, the interest rate on deposits with a tenor of 400 days to three years has been increased from 5.45 per cent to 5.50 per cent. The new rate for tenures ranging from three years to 10 years is 5.65 per cent, which is 0.15 per cent higher than before.

The bank said that the interest rate on one-year deposit for senior citizens will be 6 percent, which was earlier 5.80 percent. Similarly, resident senior citizens will now get interest ranging from 5.95 to 6.50 percent for other tenures. It has increased by 0.15 percent. Bank of Baroda has also increased the interest rate on schemes like Baroda Tax Savings Fixed Deposit and Baroda Advantage Fixed Deposit.

There is further growth forecast Further increase in interest rates is expected in the coming times. Actually, at the end of this month, the Reserve Bank will announce its policy review. With the inflation rate once again reaching 7 percent, it is expected that the Reserve Bank may increase the key rates further.

If this happens, banks can offer better rates to customers to attract deposits. Due to which the gift of increase in deposit rates can also be given in the festive season.

The post Bank of Baroda increased interest rates on deposits, know how much you will earn now first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
