New Delhi. The National High Speed Rail Corporation is building India’s first high-speed rail line of 508 km length between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, 352 km of which will pass through nine districts of Gujarat and three districts of Maharashtra.

The trial of the bullet train running on this route has started in Japan. This is being considered a big step towards starting India’s first bullet train service.

As part of the strategic partnership between Japan and India, Japan will gift two Shinkansen train sets to India. One bullet train is the E5 series and one is the E3 series. These trains will be delivered to India in early 2026. These trains are capable of running at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour. After reaching India, these trains will have to undergo several levels of tests in Indian geographical and climatic conditions.

E10 series Shinkansen to be made in India

These trial trains are equipped with state-of-the-art inspection systems that will record important information such as running conditions, temperature tolerance and dust resistance. This data will help in improving the operation system of bullet trains in future. According to the Japan Times report, this data will also be used in the manufacturing of next generation E10 series Shinkansen trains in India under ‘Make in India’.

Mumbai to Ahmedabad in two hours

The 508 km long MAHSR corridor is being developed by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). This corridor will reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to just 2 hours and 7 minutes. There will be a total of 12 stations on this route, the major ones being Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Surat and Vadodara. Japan’s renowned rail safety and reliability standards are being adopted in this entire project.

Japan has given cheap loan

India and Japan signed an agreement for this high-speed rail project in 2016. Japan is bearing about 80% of the cost of this project through a cheap interest rate yen loan. This bullet train project is not only limited to fast travel, but it will also boost employment, technical skills, tourism and business in the country. It is expected that once this corridor becomes operational, it will start a new era of fast, safe and reliable public transport in India.

Bullet Train in India: The dream of bullet train in India is now going to come true very soon. Very soon you will be able to travel by bullet train. Survey work on many projects in this regard is going on at war level in India.

One of these routes is from Delhi to Amritsar. For this, survey is being done to acquire thousands of acres of land, but before that, work has started on the Gujarat project. Bullet train can run in Gujarat by 2028. The work of land acquisition is in full swing.

According to an exclusive document obtained by CNN-News18, the bullet train could run between Sabarmati and Vapi in Gujarat by 2028. After this, the train will run on the entire 508-km long section between Ahmedabad and Mumbai by 2030. The National High Speed Rail Authority (NHSRCL) is conducting a survey to estimate the fare and traffic of this bullet train.

According to the document, a ridership assessment has been sought for the Sabarmati-Vapi section in Gujarat for the year 2028 and base year 2030. This will be the ‘first year of operation’ on the entire section between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. A 30-year ridership assessment has been sought on the bullet train. The under-construction Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor will pass through Mumbai-Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Thane, Virar and Boisar in Maharashtra and Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati in Gujarat. Its total length will be about 508 km.

The Gujarat section of the high-speed rail route between Vapi and Sabarmati is approximately 348 km long. Whereas, the rail route in Maharashtra is 156 km long.

Why will the bullet train run in Gujarat first?

CNN-News18 had earlier reported that this train may run first in the Gujarat section. Because the work there is moving towards completion at a fast pace. While the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra kept this project on hold for almost three years. Due to this, the progress of this project in Maharashtra has been very slow. The central government has not yet announced any official date for the launch of this high-speed train.

India will create a record

This train will bring India into the category of select countries in the world using high-speed railway system. Bullet train service is available in about 15 countries in the world. This project is not only technologically excellent but will also bring many other benefits.

Progress so far

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said earlier this week that the 300-km long viaduct on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail section has been completed. Work on the Mumbai Bullet Train station located in the Bandra Kurla Complex is about 76 percent complete. Let us tell you that this is the only underground station on the corridor. According to the government, so far about 383 km of pillar work, 401 km of foundation work and 326 km of girder casting work have been completed on this project.

Delhi-Amritsar Bullet Train-

The survey work for running a bullet train from the national capital Delhi to Amritsar in Punjab has started on a war footing. Farmers are being approached for acquiring land. Several teams have reached in this regard.

Land will be acquired from 343 villages of Haryana and Punjab for the bullet train project. After the completion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, a bullet train will be run between Delhi-Amritsar. The central government is planning to run bullet trains on ten routes. Their feasibility report has been prepared. Now the survey has started on the Delhi-Amritsar route and talks have also started with farmers regarding land acquisition.

Land will be acquired from 343 villages

Land will be acquired in a total of 343 villages in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. Land will be taken from 186 villages in Punjab, including 39 in Mohali, 49 in Jalandhar, 37 in Ludhiana, 22 in Amritsar, 25 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 12 in Kapurthala and one village each in Tarn Taran and Rupnagar.

This railway line will pass through 24 villages of Derabassi sub-division of Mohali district. Land of nine villages of Mohali tehsil namely Bakarpur, Rurka, Kambala, Chilla, Raipur Khurd, Durali, Saneta, Raipur Kalan, Shampur will be acquired under this project.

Under this, land of six villages of Kharar tehsil, Bharatpur, Gidderpur, Chuhar Majra, Machhli Kalan, Todar Majra and Majat will be included. Farmers will be provided with five times the collector rate of each village for the land.

New Delhi. The country’s first bullet train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is going on in full swing.

With the bullet train running, the distance of 506 km between the two cities can be covered in just two hours. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has now given an important update regarding the much-awaited Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. He has said that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train route will start by 2028.

Devendra Fadnavis, while addressing a program, said, “By 2028 we will be able to travel in bullet train.” He said that Gujarat has taken lead over Maharashtra in the implementation of this project. The Chief Minister, while targeting Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), said that the progress of the project was affected during the two years of rule till 2022, but now the work is going on in full swing.

88000 crore rupees will be spent

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, being built at a cost of about $ 15 billion (about Rs 88,000 crore), is being prepared with the cooperation of Japan. More than 60% of the work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train route has been completed so far. Bullet train stations have started taking shape and most of the bridges have also been built. The total length of this route is 508 kilometers. The bullet train will run at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour on this route. This high-speed rail line is based on Japan’s famous Shinkansen technology. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has provided a soft loan for the bullet project.

Two bullet trains will be available free for testing

Japan will give two Shinkansen bullet trains to India for free for testing on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train route. These are not ordinary trains, but E5 and E3 series bullet trains equipped with high-speed technology. Japanese media Japan Times has given this information in one of its reports. It is worth noting that India and Japan are working together on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The data of testing of E5 and E3 in India will be used in the construction of the next generation bullet train, E10 series (Alfa-X). There is a plan to make this train in India.

A plan is being made to run bullet train between two cities. After its running, the distance between many cities can be covered in less time. This will be the seventh route of the bullet train. The Railway Minister has also accepted the idea of running bullet train in Madhya Pradesh and has given instructions to the officials regarding this.

Recently, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav came to the ministry to meet Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. There was a discussion between the two about many railway projects of Madhya Pradesh. According to the Railway Ministry, the Chief Minister has demanded from the Railway Minister to run a bullet train in Madhya Pradesh. The Railway Minister has given approval to this. Also, instructions have been given to the officials of the ministry to form a committee and start the process.

Possibility of travelling between these two cities

Bullet train can be run between cities at least 500 kms apart. There is a possibility that this train can be run between Jabalpur and Indore. Because Indore is the main city of the state from a business point of view and right now it takes a lot of time to reach here from Jabalpur.

PM’s dream project

The bullet train project is the Prime Minister’s dream project. Its construction is being done by the National High Speed Rail Corporation. Apart from Delhi Mumbai Ahmedabad, there are plans to run bullet trains on five more routes in the future. The feasibility report has been prepared on all these six routes.

Feasibility report prepared on these routes

Feasibility report has been prepared for Delhi-Amritsar, Howrah-Varanasi-Patna, Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Nashik-Nagpur, Mumbai-Hyderabad corridor.

A look at the Mumbai and Ahmedabad bullet trains

The National High Speed Rail Corporation is constructing India’s first high-speed rail line of 508 km length between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, 352 km of which will pass through 8 districts of Gujarat. Here, RC track bed construction work is going on in Anand, Vadodara, Surat and Navsari districts. Construction of about 71 km RC track bed has been completed and welding of rails on the viaduct has started.

Apart from this, Indian Railways unveiled its plan to expand the bullet train network in many important intercity corridors. After the introduction of bullet trains on these routes, more travel will be possible in less time.

Asked to prepare DPR

According to the Railway Ministry, after the completion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, there is a plan to expand the high-speed train network on more corridors. The Railway Ministry said that it has asked the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to prepare the DPR of other routes for the bullet train corridor. These corridors include Delhi-Varanasi (Delhi-Varanasi), Delhi-Ahmedabad (Delhi-Ahmedabad), Delhi-Amritsar (Delhi-Amritsar) and Mumbai-Nagpur (Mumbai-Nagpur). In this way, there are preparations to run bullet trains on a total of five routes in the country including Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

Work is going on rapidly on Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR

Work is going on rapidly on Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR). This corridor will connect Mumbai to Ahmedabad, the largest city of Gujarat. MAHSR will be India’s first high-speed rail line, with a maximum speed of 320 km per hour. Japan’s Shinkansen technology will be used in the high-speed rail line being developed by the High Speed Rail Line Corporation (NHSRC). It is a fully owned company of the Ministry of Railways and the Government of India. It includes rolling stock, signaling and design standards.

After the completion of the project, the bullet train will start a new era of fast and efficient travel in the country. MAHSR will connect major cities and towns of Maharashtra and Gujarat like Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. Which will cover a distance of about 508 km on this route. According to the latest report, 336 km of pier foundation has been completed. Apart from this, 331 km pier construction, 60 km girder casting and 225 km girder launching have been done. Work has also started on the 21 km long undersea tunnel.

Bullet Train Fare: He said that if you want to see the future of high-speed corridor, then we have four major mega cities namely New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. In the coming time, we are going to build high-speed corridors on all four routes.

The work of High Speed Rail Corridor (Bullet Train) on Mumbai to Ahmedabad route is going on fast. Its work is expected to be completed by 2026. Passengers are very curious about the introduction of bullet train in the country. Apart from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, three major cities of the country will also be connected by bullet train connectivity. In the coming time, there will be connectivity of bullet train in New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata of the country.

High-speed corridor will be built on all four routes

In a program organized by Economic Times, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) Operations Director Rajesh Prasad said that RVNL has expressed the need for a high-speed corridor on the track from New Delhi to Kolkata, New Delhi to Mumbai, Mumbai to Chennai. He said that if you want to see the future of high-speed corridor, then we have four major mega cities namely New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. In the coming time, we are going to build high-speed corridors on all four routes.

Worked on the financing model as well, he told that plans have already been prepared. We have also worked on the financing model. According to the Ministry of Railways, the government carried out a ‘feasibility study’ for the Diamond Quadrilateral network of high speed trains. In this, talks were held on the routes connecting Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai, Chennai-Kolkata and Kolkata-Delhi with Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Kolkata.

Prasad also said that the route from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is expected to start in the coming five to ten years. Let us tell you that National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is a 100% subsidiary of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Presently it is completing the work of Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor.

There was also talk on the fare,

during a program last days, the Railway Minister had said in response to a question that no decision has been taken regarding the fare of the bullet train. But it will be accessible to the people. He said that first AC will be made the base for the fare of the bullet train. From this it can be inferred that the fare for traveling in bullet train will be around First AC.

The post Bullet Train Start: Bullet train will run from Delhi to these three cities, Know the complete route and fare first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
