New Traffic Rules: The new financial year comes into effect from 1 April. Many types of rules also change from this day. From this day, many major changes have taken place in the rules related to vehicles and traffic.

If you are planning to buy a new vehicle or are driving an old vehicle then it is very important to be aware of these changes. Car prices are on the rise. Along with this, there has also been strictness in the traffic rules. The government has ordered mandatory disposal of vehicles older than 15 years under the scrappage policy.

These rules apply to both private and government vehicles. Such vehicles will be registered. Vehicles older than 15 years can be taken to a government registered scrapping centre. Vehicles will be scrapped at these centres. After this a certificate will be given to the vehicle owner.

This discount is available on buying a new vehicle

In such a situation, the vehicle owner will also get subsidy and waiver on the registration amount on purchase of a new vehicle. At the same time, the Delhi government has once again become strict regarding old vehicles. As soon as a 10 year old diesel and 15 year old petrol vehicle is seen on the road. Directly confiscated and sent to the scrap yard.

According to the information received, 50 vehicles have been seized from the Civil Lines area and sent to the junkyard. In fact, in view of increasing pollution in Delhi, the scrap policy was implemented on the orders of the court. But ignoring the rules, people were not stopping plying old vehicles in Delhi. After the order of the court, the government has now started taking action by running a campaign.

10,000 challan

At the same time, major changes have also taken place in the traffic rules of Delhi. Preparations have been made to deduct the amount of fine directly from the account for breaking traffic rules in Delhi-NCR. Strict lane rules have also come into force for private buses and goods carriers in Delhi.

There is a provision to impose heavy fines against those who do not follow the rules. Under some rules, there can be a fine of up to Rs 10,000 or a jail term of up to 6 months. Action will be taken against those who break the rules under Section 192-A of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988.

Toll Rate New List: If you also travel by your car, then this news is useful for you. Traveling on two major highways of western Uttar Pradesh is going to be expensive soon.

Toll will increase by 10 percent on Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Ghaziabad-Aligarh Highway from 12 midnight on March 31. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has released the new rate list. About 1 lakh 20 thousand drivers plying daily on both the highways will be affected by the increase in toll. The government will earn an additional Rs 10.95 crore in the first year from the toll rate on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway itself.

Toll increased from 15 to 20 rupees on commercial vehicles

According to the project director of NHAI Ghaziabad, Arvind Kumar, the list of toll rates to be increased on Delhi-Meerut Expressway has been received. It is being pasted at the Kashi toll plaza of Partapur (Meerut), so that the drivers can know in advance. Toll has been increased by Rs 5 on private vehicles and Rs 15 to 20 on commercial vehicles. From Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut, car owners will now have to pay Rs 160 as toll, earlier it was Rs 155.

The charge has increased by this much rupees, according to the toll rates on Delhi-Meerut Expressway, now the new rate has come. Due to which earlier Rs 155 was taken from a light four wheeler, which has now become Rs 160. Along with this, commercial four wheelers used to pay Rs 245 earlier, now they will pay Rs 260. 6 tyra trucks and buses will be given 545 instead of 520. 10 tyra big trucks will now pay Rs 595 instead of Rs 565. 855 will be given instead of 815 rupees for 12 tyra big commercial vehicles. Trola trucks will now be given at Rs 1040 instead of Rs 990.

On the Ghaziabad-Bulandshahr-Aligarh highway too, 10 percent toll tax will be increased from 12 midnight on March 31. There are two toll plazas on NH-91. One is at Luharli in Bulandshahr district and the other at Gabhana in Aligarh district. About 80 thousand vehicles pass through these two toll plazas daily. Till now the toll tax of the car at Luharli toll plaza is Rs 135.

Nitin Gadkari: Gadkari said in a program of the Association of Vehicle Component Manufacturers that the Ministry of Roads has received 206 proposals for ropeways, cable cars and funicular railways.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that the government has planned to open at least three registered vehicle scrapping centers in every district of the country. Gadkari said in the annual program of ACMA, an organization of auto parts manufacturers, that the Road Ministry has received 206 proposals for Ropeway, Cable Car and Funicular Railway.

The vehicle scrap policy started a year ago , the Union Minister said, ‘The government can open three registered vehicle scrap facilities or centers in every district.’ PM Modi had launched the National Vehicle Junk Policy in August last year and had said that it would help in the systematic elimination of obsolete and polluting vehicles.

Adopt Global Safety Standard in India

Apart from this, Nitin Gadkari said that most of the vehicle manufacturers in India are already exporting cars with six airbags. They need to adopt such safety standards for cars in India as well. He said that vehicle manufacturers should think about the safety of people using small cheap cars. Addressing the annual session of ACMA, Gadkari said that every year 1.5 lakh people die and more than three lakh people are injured in about five lakh road accidents.

Why not thinking about people’s lives?

He said, ‘Most of the vehicle manufacturers in India are exporting cars with six airbags. But, they are hesitating because of the economic cost in India. Gadkari wondered why automakers were not thinking about the lives of people using cheap cars in India. The minister said that reducing accidents in the country is the need of the hour.
