Thunderstorm accompanied by strong winds occurred at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, North-East India, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana.

Hailstorms were also reported at isolated places in Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Tamil Nadu and some other areas. Heat wave in East Rajasthan remained confined to isolated places, while conditions remained warm to very warm at night. IMD has predicted a significant reduction in rainfall activity in the Western Himalayan region including Jammu and Kashmir from April 21.
