Patna: Giving a big relief to the common people, the Bihar government has decided to provide 125 units of free electricity every month. This has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

This facility will be implemented from August 1, 2025, and its basis will be the electricity consumption of July 2025. That is, if a domestic consumer has used 125 units or less of electricity in July, then he will not have to pay any money on 125 units of electricity every month from August. The name of this scheme is “Mukham Mantri Bijli Upbhokta Sahay Yojana”, which has now been extended. For this, the government has also approved an amount of Rs 3,797 crore to the Bihar State Power Company.

Relief also for those installing solar plants

The state government is not only providing free electricity but is also going to encourage people to use solar energy. Therefore, the cabinet has also decided that the government will provide financial assistance to those who want to install solar panels with a capacity of 1.1 kW or more. Poor and cottage consumers will get full assistance (i.e. they will not have to pay money for installing solar plants). The government will also give some part of the subsidy to other domestic consumers, which will make it easier to install solar panels.

What will be the benefit of this decision?

People will save on electricity bills. More and more people will move towards solar energy. Electricity consumption in the state will be reduced and green energy will be promoted. The government says that this will rapidly increase the use of solar energy in Bihar and the common people will get the benefit of electricity saving and clean energy.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced a big relief for lakhs of elderly, widows and needy people of the state. Now the pension amount under the Social Security Pension Scheme has been more than doubled.

Earlier, where only Rs 400 was given every month, now this amount has been increased to Rs 1100. This decision has been taken at a time when assembly elections are going to be held in the state in the next few months. In such a situation, this decision is being considered a big step of the government before the elections.

This increase in pension will provide great support to the poor, helpless and elderly people and will help them in meeting their daily needs. This step of the government has been taken with the aim of strengthening social security and providing financial help.

What did the Chief Minister say ?

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), “I am happy to inform that now the elderly, widowed women and Divyangjan will get a pension of Rs 1100 every month.” He further said that the elderly are a precious part of the society and it is the priority of the state government to live their life with dignity and respect.

How many people will benefit ?

According to the government, about 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries will directly benefit from this scheme. This step is being considered a big step towards making the elderly and needy people financially strong.

How much pension was received earlier

Mukhyamantri Vridhajan Pension Yojana is an important scheme of the Bihar government, under which financial assistance is given to the needy elderly of the state. Earlier, elderly people between 60 and 79 years were given a monthly pension of Rs 400 and those aged 80 years or above were given Rs 500, which went directly to their bank account. The beneficiary must be a resident of Bihar and should not be getting pension from any other scheme. This scheme was started in 2019-20 and since then there was a demand to increase the pension.

After Halal certified products were banned in Uttar Pradesh, now a similar demand has arisen in Bihar also. Union Minister and BJP MP from Begusarai Giriraj Singh has written a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this regard.

He has demanded a ban on Halal certified products in Bihar. Giriraj claimed that there is a big conspiracy behind Halal certification and business. Let us tell you that recently the Yogi Adityanath government of UP had imposed an immediate ban on the manufacture, sale and storage of Halal certified products in the state.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh said in a letter to CM Nitish Kumar that Halal trade is taking place in many food items and other essential commodities in Bihar. These include edible oils, spices, dry fruits, sweets, medicines and medical equipment. Some institutions have become self-proclaimed in giving Halal certificate. Companies manufacturing goods are being given certificates by paying huge amounts of money. Which is a big conspiracy.

Giriraj said that in a secular democracy like India, the size of business related to Halal certification is up to $2 trillion. It is also coming to light that it is linked to terrorist activities. Therefore it should be investigated in depth.

He said that the UP government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath has banned Halal certified food products. Therefore, Nitish government of Bihar should also take similar steps. Giriraj said that even in big states like Bihar, a big jihad is going on in the name of Halal products. He has appealed to CM Nitish to take action against these divisive and conspiratorial elements.

The post Halal Certified: Demand to ban Halal certified products in Bihar like UP, Giriraj Singh’s letter to CM Nitish first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
