‘TRT World’s ‘X’ account also banned in India

The ‘X’ account of Turkish broadcaster ‘TRT World’ has also been blocked in India.

India strongly criticises Chinese media outlets

India had strongly criticised the Chinese media outlet, and asked it to verify facts and check sources before spreading misinformation. The response came after the Global Times published a report claiming that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had “shot down another Indian fighter jet” in response to Indian airstrikes on multiple targets in Pakistan overnight, citing “unnamed sources in the Pakistani military”.

Reacting to this, the official handle of the Indian Embassy in Beijing said in a series of posts on Twitter, “Dear @globaltimesnews, We would advise you to verify your facts and check your sources before forwarding such misinformation.”

Another post read, “Several pro-Pakistan handles are spreading baseless claims regarding Operation Sindoor, attempting to mislead the public. When media outlets share such information without verifying sources, it reflects a serious lapse in responsibility and journalistic ethics.”

Earlier, India on Wednesday strongly rejected China’s move to change the names of some places in Arunachal Pradesh, terming the attempt as “absurd” and asserting that such action cannot change the “indisputable” fact that the state was, is and will always remain an integral part of India.

New Delhi’s reaction came after Beijing released a list of Chinese names for several places in Arunachal Pradesh, a region it claims to be part of Southern Tibet.
