According to the rules of Indian Railways, if your train is delayed by 3 hours or more and you do not want to travel in it, then in this case you can claim a refund for the train delay. However, to claim a refund, you will have to file TDR i.e. Ticket Deposit Receipt.

How to file TDR

  • You can file TDR by visiting the official website of IRCTC.
  • In this, first of all you have to visit the official website of IRCTC and login. 
  • After logging in, you have to go to the Services tab and select the option of File Ticket Deposit Receipt.
  • After this, go to My Transactions and click on the option of File TDR.
  • After doing this, your claim request will be sent. After doing this, you will get the refund of the ticket.
