Digital Life Certificate

DLC i.e. Digital Life Certificate is a biometric based Aadhaar enabled life certificate. It is prepared with the help of Aadhaar card and biometric details of the pensioner. Its purpose is to authenticate the pensioners so that they continue to receive pension.

Rules for pensioners below 80 years of age

Pensioners who are less than 80 years of age are required to submit their life certificate between 1st and 30th November. Under this process, they have to submit the certificate on time so that there is no interruption in their pension. Pensioners who are 80 years of age or above can submit their life certificate from 1st October itself. This will give them more time and they will be able to submit the certificate as per their convenience without any rush.

Canara Bank Special Facility

Canara Bank has started a special facility for pensioners, under which pensioners will not need to go to the bank branch to submit life certificate. The bank has provided the facility to submit life certificate from home through video call. Pensioners can book their slot from October 1 and complete this process through video call.

What will happen if life certificate is not submitted

If pensioners do not submit their annual life certificate by November, their pension will be stopped for December and the months thereafter. Therefore, it is very important to submit the life certificate on time.
