In view of the scorching heat in UP, the summer holidays in municipal schools have been extended. Summer holidays in council schools have been extended till June 24. However, UP schools will remain closed for children till June 28. This decision has been taken due to heat and heatwave in UP. Heat is at its peak in most areas of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Most people are troubled by the hot weather. Common people are facing problems due to heat and sun. This decision has been taken in UP keeping in mind the problems faced by children in the heat.

Children in Uttar Pradesh schools have got more than 40 days of vacation. Summer vacations started in most schools from 11 May or 13 May. All schools in Delhi were closed from 11 May 2024.

Heat wave alert has been issued for many areas of Uttar Pradesh

An alert has been issued regarding heatwave in many areas of UP. This is the reason why most of the schools in UP have announced holiday dates. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heatwave. In many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the temperature is being recorded above 40 to 45 degrees.
