										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>7th Pay Commission: Jharkhand government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of government employees by 38 percent. Dearness Relief (DR) for its pensioners is effective from July 1 this year up to four per cent. This decision was taken in a meeting of the Jharkhand cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.</p>
<p>An official said that about two lakh government employees and 1.35 lakh pensioners are sure to benefit from this decision.</p>
<p>Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dudel said, “The Council of Ministers has approved a proposal to increase the Dearness Allowance payable to state government employees to 38 per cent from the existing 34 per cent with effect from July 1, 2022.”</p>
<p>He said that the cabinet has also decided to increase the dearness relief for pensioners from the existing 34 per cent to 38 per cent.</p>
<p>19 proposals have been approved by the council of ministers, including a plan to hold urban local body (ULB) elections without OBC reservation in 2023.</p>
<p>Dadel said that considering the OBC seats as unreserved seats, elections will be held next year.</p>
