Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the proposal to increase dearness allowance for state government employees. Along with this, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased from the existing 31 percent to 34 percent.

According to the latest notification issued by the Odisha government, ‘The increase in dearness allowance will come into effect from 1.1 2022.’

DA arrears In the 7th Pay Commission, in the current structure, all central government employees and pensioners are being paid DA and DR at the rate of 34 percent. But, after September, payment will be made at the rate of 38 per cent. Along with this, you will also get the benefit of DA arrears of the last 2 months.

Let us tell you that if the basic salary of the employees is Rs 56900 and they will get DA at the rate of 38 percent, then Rs 21622 will come in their account as DA. At present, these employees are getting Rs 19,346 at the rate of 34 per cent. With an increase of 4 percent DA, the salary will increase by Rs 2276, that is, according to this, your salary will increase by Rs 27312 annually.
