There is no doubt that Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has changed the way you do your daily transactions. Where earlier you used to keep money in your pocket, now you keep it in your mobile. From buying groceries to sending money to a friend, your work gets done in moments with the help of UPI.

For this you only need to have a registered mobile number or UPI ID. But for every UPI transaction you need a 4 or 6 digit UPI PIN, which confirms that the person making the payment is the right person.
Yes, you can set UPI PIN even without your debit card. In fact, very few people know that National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) gives you two options to set UPI PIN. The first is the option of debit card and the second is the option of setting PIN through Aadhaar Card. Let us tell you how you can set your PIN number even without a debit card.

Here are the things required to set UPI PIN through Aadhaar card :

1. Your phone number must be linked to your Aadhaar number.

2. Your mobile number must be registered with your bank account.

How to set UPI PIN without debit card :

UPI Payment: Nowadays, most people use digital methods instead of cash to make payments. Because Unified Payment Interface (UPI) has made digital payments very easy and convenient. But keep in mind that for security reasons, you should keep changing your UPI PIN from time to time. If you also use UPI to make payments, then keep changing its PIN from time to time.

It is possible to change UPI PIN even without debit card

Let us tell you that changing the PIN from time to time reduces the possibility of fraud. Earlier, you had to use a debit card to change the UPI PIN, but now it is possible to change the PIN even without it, but for this you must have an Aadhaar card. Let us tell you that the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has allowed setting UPI PIN through Aadhaar card. After this change, digital transactions will become even easier and more and more people will be able to take advantage of the UPI payment system.

Step by step process to set UPI PIN with Aadhaar card

If you want to set UPI PIN without debit card, then first check that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card and the same mobile number should also be registered in your bank. Because if you do not have the same mobile number registered in the bank or Aadhaar card, then you will not be able to take advantage of this facility. If you have the same mobile number registered in both the bank and Aadhaar card, then you can set your PIN by following the steps given below

Step 1- First of all open the UPI app on your smartphone and then link your bank account to the app

Step 2- After adding the bank account, select the option to set UPI PIN.

Step 3- Now you will see two options, Debit Card and Aadhaar OTP.

Step 4- From both the options, choose the option of setting UPI PIN through Aadhaar OTP.

Step 5- After this, validate your Aadhaar by entering the first six numbers of your Aadhaar.

Step 6- Then an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number registered in your bank account, which you will have to enter and verify.

Step 7- After OTP is verified, you will get the option to set a new UPI PIN. In this way, you can set your UPI PIN even without the help of a debit card.

Change in UPI transaction limit

Let us tell you that the government also wants more and more people to use UPI transactions. Recently, RBI has increased the transaction limit of UPI Lite from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 per transaction. At the same time, the limit of UPI Lite Wallet has also been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. Not only this, the Reserve Bank of India has increased the transaction limit of UPI 123 PAY from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 per transaction.

Under the new rules, now you can make UPI payments up to Rs 5 lakh per transaction for three categories: Consumer Tax Payment, Hospital and Educational Services and IPO and Government Securities.

A new facility has been started for customers using UPI. Axis Bank and Union Bank of India have started this facility for their customers. Soon this service will gradually be available in all ATMs.

A new facility has been started for customers using UPI. Under this, they can now deposit cash in ATMs using UPI. A debit card will not be required for this. Currently, Axis Bank and Union Bank of India have started this facility for their customers. Soon this service will gradually be available in all ATMs.

RBI has launched UPI-ICD service in collaboration with National Payment Corporation. In this, cash can be deposited in cash deposit machine using UPI app. According to NPCI, this facility will be available with other ATM operators besides banks.

What are the options right now

Currently, customers have two options to deposit cash in bank accounts – visiting the bank branch or depositing cash through ATM using their debit card.

How to deposit cash in ATM

First of all, locate the ATM in your area where the cash deposit machine is installed and the facility is available.

Select the cash deposit option on the screen and press OK. Then enter the mobile number linked to UPI, Virtual Payment Address or IFSC code of the account.

This work can also be done by scanning the QR code given on the screen.

Then place the money in the slot and enter the number of notes for each denomination.

The amount deposited will be visible in the UPI app. Verify the amount being deposited through the app.

Authorize the transaction with UPI PIN. You will receive a receipt after the cash is deposited.

People’s trust in UPI payment increased

The use of UPI is increasing rapidly in the country. In August, transactions through UPI were 58% higher than the same period last year. On the other hand, people are adopting Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) for safe payment of gas, electricity, DTH and other bills. This shows that people’s trust in online transactions is constantly increasing.

RBI data shows that transactions through UPI have increased by 35 percent between April and August in the current year, after which transactions worth Rs 101 lakh crore have been done through UPI. During this period, NCPI has also expanded the UPI service. UPI Person to Merchant (P2M) facility was also started in Nepal from March 2024. Since then, more than one lakh transactions have been done through UPI in Nepal. Along with this, the use of Fastag and National Common Mobility Card has also increased rapidly with the facility of auto payment and wallet payment.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a circular that on review it was found that some of the arrangements existing between card networks and card issuers are not conducive to providing choice to customers.

The Reserve Bank has directed banks to provide eligible customers the option to choose from multiple card networks while issuing credit or debit cards. The central bank has also asked credit card issuers not to enter into any agreement or arrangement with the card networks that prevents customers from availing the services of other networks.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a circular, ‘Upon review, it was found that some of the arrangements existing between card networks and card issuers are not conducive to providing choice to customers.’

RBI has given these important guidelines.

The central bank said, ‘In such a situation, it is directed that the card issuers will not make any such arrangement or agreement with the card network which prevents the customers from availing the services of other card networks. .” RBI said that for existing cardholders, this option can be given at the time of next renewal of the card.

American Express Banking Corp, Diners Club International Ltd, MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd, National Payments Corporation of India-Rupay and Visa Worldwide Pte Ltd are listed as card networks. According to the circular, card issuers and networks will have to ensure adherence to RBI guidelines in existing agreements at the time of amendment or renewal and while executing new agreements.

However, this instruction will not be applicable to those credit card issuers whose number of active cards issued by them is 10 lakh or less. Apart from this, institutions issuing credit cards on their own authorized card networks have been excluded from the instructions of this circular. According to this, the instructions to give eligible customers the option to choose from multiple card networks will be effective for six months from the date of issue of the circular.

There is no need to worry even if you do not have an ATM card in your pocket, because now cash can be withdrawn from the ATM even without it. You will only need your smartphone. The method is very easy.

If you want to withdraw money from an ATM machine, a debit card is required. But in today’s digital and technology era, you can withdraw money from ATM machine even without a debit card. For this you should only have your mobile. For this you do not need an ATM card. This banking service has been running for many days.

Although many banks were already providing the facility to their customers to withdraw money without card, but now the Reserve Bank has further expanded its scope. UPI i.e. Unified Payment Interface will be used for this facility. RBI has allowed banks to provide the facility of withdrawing money without using the card. Today we will talk in detail about withdrawing money from ATM without card.

To withdraw money from ATM without debit card, you must have a smartphone. Your smartphone should have any UPI enabled app like BHIM, Paytm, GPay, PhonePe etc. You will be able to withdraw money through these apps only.

Follow these steps

To withdraw money, first go to the ATM and choose the option to withdraw money without card. You will see the option to provide identification through UPI. After this, open the UPI app in your mobile and scan the QR code visible in front. You will be authenticated through UPI and after that you will be able to withdraw money. The further process will be the same as before. Enter the amount of money you want and withdraw your money.

Which technology will be used?

The Reserve Bank will soon issue separate instructions to NPCI, ATM network and banks to provide the facility of withdrawing money from ATM without debit card. Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI will be used for this facility. Customers will be identified through UPI and such transactions will be settled through the ATM network. Let us tell you that this step will also provide a lot of relief to banks.

Benefits of withdrawing money without card

Reserve Bank Governor Shakti anta Das has said that the facility of withdrawing money from ATM without card is very beneficial. He had said that the facility of cash withdrawal without card will help in preventing frauds like card skimming, card cloning. Apart from this, you will not need to keep the card with you. Your smartphone will do all this work.

The post ATM Cash Withdrawal : You can withdraw cash from ATM without ATM card, know the complete process first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Bank of Baroda (BoB) has started the system of withdrawing cash from ATMs through UPI for the first time in public sector banks. Debit card will not be required for this.

Customers can withdraw money through the QR code displayed on the ATM. BOB said in a statement that it is the first public sector bank to offer cash withdrawal facility from ATMs through UPI.

The bank said that by availing its Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility, customers of other participating banks using BHIM UPI and other UPI applications along with its customers will also be able to withdraw cash from ATMs. Customers will not need to use debit cards for cash withdrawal from Bank of Baroda (BoB) ATMs.

This is the process to withdraw money from UPI

To avail this service, the customer has to select the ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ option at the Bank of Baroda ATM. Then after entering the amount to be withdrawn, a QR code will be displayed on the screen of the ATM. This code needs to be scanned using the authorized UPI app for ICCW to authorize the transaction.

Transaction can be done twice in a day

The Bank’s Chief Digital Officer Akhil Handa said that the introduction of ICCW service will give customers the freedom to withdraw cash without using a card. At BOB ATMs, customers can do two transactions in a day and a maximum of Rs 5,000 can be withdrawn at a time.

The post Now the hassle of keeping Debit Card to withdraw money from ATM is over.

Cheque Bounce New Rules: When you open a bank account, you are given many facilities. In which apart from Debit Card, Credit Card, Cheque Book, many other facilities are included. If you make payment through Chequebook then this is important news for you. Transaction of money through Cheque book has become very common. This is the reason why the cases of Cheque bounce are also increasing continuously. In such a situation, the Central Government can make major changes in the rules to reduce the increasing cases of Cheque bounce.

These suggestions were received regarding the change in the rules of Cheque bounce

According to media reports, the government may soon implement the new Cheque bounce rules. Regarding this, the government has also formed an expert committee of the Supreme Court. This committee has made several recommendations to the government. Apart from this, a high-level meeting was also organized by the Finance Ministry recently. During this, many suggestions have been received regarding the change in the Cheque bounce rules. After considering these suggestions, the government can implement it as a new Cheque bounce rule.

Finance Ministry is considering these steps

Under the rule of Cheque bounce, the Finance Ministry can take strict steps like deducting money from other bank accounts if there is not enough balance in the account of the Cheque issuing customers. Now you are making payment through chequebook, sufficient amount should be available in your bank account. If this does not happen then strict legal action can be taken against you (Cheque Bounce penalty). Along with this, many other steps are being considered including banning the opening of new bank accounts of the Cheque issuer in such cases.

Let us tell you that if the government accepts the recommendations made by the expert committee, then there can be many major changes in the Cheque bounce rules. So let us tell you about it…

In case of Cheque bounce, payment will be done from another bank account.

The biggest change that can be seen in the new rules is that now if you issue a Cheque for payment and there is no money in your bank account, then money will be deducted from your other bank account for payment. . Till now it is happening that even if there is no money in the bank account, if you pay through cheque, then your Cheque bounces directly. Now this rule will reduce the Cheque bounce case.

There will also be a ban on opening new bank accounts

On the other hand, if your Cheque bounces after the implementation of the new rule, then in such a case you will not be able to open a new bank account. Cheque bounce can also be seen as loan default. This is the reason why you will not be able to open your account in any other bank. Not only this, it will also affect your CIBIL score and in future, if you want to take a bank loan, then you may have to face a lot of problems.

Will there be any change in Cheque bounce penalty?

However, there is no possibility of change in the new rules regarding Cheque bounce penalty. At present, there is also a provision of punishment in the rules of Cheque bounce. Under this, in case of Cheque bounce, if a case is registered against the issuer of the cheque, a fine (Cheque Bounce Charges) can be imposed on him. In such a situation, the issuer of the Cheque may have to pay twice the amount of the Cheque payment to the other party. Along with this, there can also be a jail sentence of 2 years.

You must have a debit card for UPI registration. You can avail this service only after OTP authentication through debit card. But now you can use UPI even without a debit card (ATM). Online payment app PhonePe has simplified this process by providing the facility of UPI registration with Aadhaar card.

Now new users on PhonePe app can activate UPI through Aadhaar Card and OTP Verification. Because your bank account is also linked to Aadhaar card. Now even those users who do not have a debit card (ATM) can pay through UPI. Here we are telling you how to register for UPI without debit card.

How does UPI work?

The full form of UPI is Unified Payments Interface. It is a real-time payment system that helps in instant money transfer between two bank accounts through a mobile platform. Through UPI you can access multiple bank accounts through a single mobile application. It has been created by the National Payments Corporation, which is supervised jointly by the Reserve Bank and the Indian Banks Association.

How to activate UPI through Aadhaar?

Existing UPI users need to enter the last 6 digits of their Aadhaar number to verify through Aadhaar card on PhonePe app. After this you will get an OTP from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and your bank. In this way your UPI will be activated. You will then be able to transfer money from UPI to anyone using the PhonePe app.

New users do UPI registration like this

First of all install the Phone Pe app on your mobile phone.

On opening the app, you will have to enter your phone number and OTP.

After this go to My Money and click on Payment Methods.

Then click on ‘Add new bank account’ and select the bank in which you have an account.

Here your mobile number will be verified.

Now you will get two options to configure your UPI PIN.

Here you can choose either Debit/ATM card or Aadhaar card.

Here after entering the last six digits of the Aadhaar number and an OTP will come on your registered mobile number.

Your UPI PIN will be activated as soon as you enter the OTP. Now you can take advantage of all its features.

India is rapidly moving towards digital payments. RBI and National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) are easing rules to ease the way for digital payments.

For which Aadhaar based UPI payment service has been allowed. After the relaxation from RBI and NPCI, PhonePe has started a new Aadhaar based OTP service, through which UPI can be activated.

PhonePe becomes the first Aadhaar based UPI

PhonePe claims that it is the world’s first platform with Aadhaar based UPI service. The company claims that after the Aadhaar based UPI service, the number of new users making online payments will increase. Let us tell you that till now Debit card was required to use UPI service. But after Aadhaar based authentication, the hassle of Debit card will be over.

It is worth noting that a large population of the country does not have a debit card, who are not able to use the UPI service. Aadhaar based UPI service can prove to be very beneficial for such people.

How customers will benefit

In the current model of UPI, a Debit Card is required for the UPI PIN during the UPI registration process for each and every user. But as it is known that there are a large number of bank account holders who do not have debit cards. For these, Aadhaar based e-KYC can be done through the new service of PhonePe.

For this, you have to enter the 6 digit number of Aadhaar on the PhonePe App. After this you will receive OTP from UIDAI. After this your bank will complete the authentication process. After this, users will be able to do all the services of UPI payment such as payment check and bank balance check.
