7th Pay Commission DA Hike Calculation: The decision of DA hike is awaited from the central employees. A decision on this is likely to be taken in the cabinet meeting to be held on March 1.

This time dearness allowance and dearness relief are expected to increase by 4 percent. With this it will increase to 42 percent. Employees will get the benefit of both increased DA and arrears in the March salary.

Dearness Allowance will be increased by 4 percent

Central employees will get DA for both January and February along with salary. It is clear from the figures of AICPI that this time dearness allowance will increase by 4 percent. If sources are to be believed, from January 2023, DA will increase to 42 per cent. This will benefit 52 lakh central employees and 60 lakh pensioners.

Shiv Gopal Mishra, secretary of the National Council of JCM (JCM), says that the dearness allowance (DA) received under the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission DA Hike) is currently 38 percent, which will increase to 42 percent this time.

How much will the salary increase?

Under the 7th Pay Commission, the calculation of dearness allowance for employees and dearness relief allowance for pensioners is done on the basis of basic salary. For example, if someone’s basic salary is Rs 25,000, then he will get 42% DA on Rs 25,000. That is, 42 percent DA of 25,000 became DA Rs 10,500. On the basis of this, the DA of other central employees will also increase. You can also calculate it by gathering information about your basic salary.

Here is the calculation

Level 1 Basic pay: Rs 18000
42% DA ie Rs 7560 per month

Level 1 Basic pay: Rs 25000
42% DA i.e. Rs 10500 per month

There will be so much difference in salary.

Under the 7th Pay Commission, if your basic pay is Rs.18,000, then you get
dearness allowance of Rs.6,840 at the rate of 38 percent. But if the dearness allowance is 42 percent, it will increase to Rs 7560. Similarly, if you have a basic salary of Rs 25,000, then at present you will be getting dearness allowance of Rs 9,500. But with DA being 42 percent, it will increase to Rs 10,500.

Note: Here the calculation of increased DA has been done for example. Increase in DA also affects other allowances. In such a situation, there may be a difference in the final calculation.

7th Pay Commission news: In the matter of dearness allowance, another good news has been received for the central employees. Now his dearness allowance will reach 42 percent. This is clear from the inflation data required to calculate DA. However, there is still time to increase dearness allowance.

7th Pay Commission: The morning of November 1 was good for central employees. Another good news has come for them. The dearness allowance can once again see a jump of 4 percent. These are indicative of inflation figures. Actually, there has been a tremendous increase in the data of AICPI index.

However, employees will get this gift in the new year. The next DA Hike is to be held in January 2023. But, inflation figures for industrial workers are indicating that 4 percent increase is certain. Experts are also agreeing that looking at the current situation, it seems that there will be an increase of only 4 percent. But, inflation will still have to be monitored. RBI is constantly trying to control inflation.

DA will increase by 4 percent to 42 percent

Central employees will get the gift of dearness allowance next year. This will be applicable from January 2023. But, it will be announced around Holi in March 2023. With a jump of 4 per cent, dearness allowance will reach 42 per cent. There will be a total increase of Rs 720 per month on the minimum basic salary. At the same time, Rs 2276 per month will increase for the maximum salary range. Actually, the Labor Ministry has released the figures of All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial workers (AICPI). In September, this figure has been at 131.2. The AICPI index has gained a total of 2.1 per cent till September 2022 as compared to June. In comparison to August last month, there has been a jump of 1.1 percent.

The number will be counted for the second half

The AICPI index numbers will count for the second half. Based on the data till December 2022, there will be an increase in dearness allowance in January 2023. New dearness allowance is applicable from January every year. But, it is announced in March. DA is revised every 6 months. The first applies in January and the second in July. There was a jump of 4% in DA for July 2022 from the data till June 2022. At present, dearness allowance is being received at the rate of 38 percent. Its calculation is done in percentage by taking Basic Pay as the basis.

What will be the difference in salary?

The minimum salary in the salary range of central employees is Rs 18,000. If you calculate on this then…

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000
2. New dearness allowance (42%) Rs 7560/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (38%) Rs 6840/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased by 7560-6840 = Rs 720/month
5. Increase in annual salary 720X12 = Rs 8640

Calculation on maximum basic salary Rs 56900 on 42% dearness allowance

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900
2. New dearness allowance (42%) Rs 23898 / month
3. Dearness allowance so far (38%) Rs 21622 / month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 23898-21622 = Rs 2276 / month
5. Increase in annual salary 2276X12 = Rs 27312

Note: This is an estimate based salary, the final salary will be made only after adding allowances like HRA to it.

The post 7th Pay Commission: Good news for central employees on November 1, then dearness allowance will increase by 4%, DA will be 42% first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
