										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3><strong>School Holidays: In view of the cold wave, District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari has extended the holidays for schools up to class 12. Now CBSE, ICSE, secondary and all government and private schools will open on January 9.</strong></h3>
<p>Agra is colder than the hill cities due to the cold winds blowing after heavy snowfall in the mountains. In such a situation, giving a big relief to the school children, the district magistrate has declared holiday in schools up to class 12. According to District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari, due to cold wave, all schools from class 1 to 12 will remain closed till January 8. No school will open during fog and cold wave. The order will be applicable in CBSE, ICSE, secondary and all government and private schools. Action will be taken against the school management in case of violation. As such, all the schools in the district will remain closed from Sunday to Wednesday.</p>
<p>Agra was colder than Kullu, Manali and Mussoorie, mercury was 14.9 degrees.<br />
The maximum temperature of hill towns like Kullu, Manali, Mussoorie, Dharamsala, Chamba etc. was higher than Agra. The sun remained hidden in a blanket of fog in Agra throughout the day, due to which the maximum temperature during the day was recorded at 14.9 degrees, which is 8 degrees below normal. Due to the fog, the visibility was zero till morning. According to the Weather Department, fog may prevail in the mornings for the next two days.</p>
<h3><strong>Visibility was zero</strong></h3>
<p>due to heavy fog on Saturday morning. Visibility remained zero in the morning. Due to lack of sunshine, the visibility was only up to 300 meters till noon. Due to fog at 5:30 in the evening, the visibility was only up to 200 meters, due to which the fog deepened in the evening as well. Due to lack of sunshine the cold winds kept people troubled. The mercury was recorded 8 degrees below normal at 14.9 degrees during the day. Along with Agra, the temperature in Meerut, Aligarh, Bahraich, Bareilly, Etawah and Sultanpur remained between 12 to 14 degrees.</p>

<h3><strong>There is a possibility of fog for two days, cold winds</strong></h3>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3><strong>District Magistrate Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has issued orders of various restrictions under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (B.N.N.S.) 2023 to maintain law and order in the district during the Panchayat elections, to create a favorable environment for free and fair voting.</strong></h3>
<p>The District Magistrate has banned the gathering of 5 people from October 13 to October 15, where Panchayat elections are being held in the jurisdiction of District Jalandhar. He said in the orders that there will be no restriction on going door to door with a group of only 4 persons during 48 hours under the door-to-door campaign.</p>
<p>He said that the leaders, office bearers or party workers of all political parties, who are not registered voters of the respective constituencies, will have to vacate the constituency from 4 pm on October 13 to October 15 till the end of voting. He said that on the day of polling on October 15, no political party will campaign within 100 meters of the polling station.</p>
<h3><strong>In the villages where Panchayat elections are to be held, liquor shops and premises will remain closed on October 15.</strong></h3>
<p>District Magistrate Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has issued orders to keep the liquor shops and premises closed on October 15 in the villages falling within the limits of District Jalandhar where Panchayat elections are to be held. The District Magistrate said that liquor will not be served in the hotels, restaurants or clubs located in these villages nor will any person stock liquor.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>School Holiday declared:  On the instructions of the District Magistrate, holiday has been declared till January 6 in the schools from pre-primary to class 8 of the capital Lucknow. This decision was taken in view of the severe cold. Orders have been issued by BSA to all the schools.</p>
<p>In view of the severe cold and cold wave, the Basic Education Officer has declared holiday till January 6 in all the schools from classes Pre-Primary to 8th in the capital Lucknow. Also, the timings of schools from class 9 to 12 have been changed. School timings up to class 12th have been changed from 10 am to 3 pm.</p>
<p>In the order issued by BSA Ram Pravesh, it has been said that the above order should be strictly followed on the instructions of the District Magistrate. Strict action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules.</p>
