Recently, Uber has launched a great facility in collaboration with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Now you can book QR-code based tickets of Delhi Metro through the Uber app at a huge discount of 50%. This offer is no less than a gift for the passengers of Delhi Metro. Under this scheme, you can book a maximum of 8 tickets at a time, which makes traveling with your friends or family even more economical.

Step-by-step process to book tickets

  • First of all, download the Uber app on your smartphone. This app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. If you already have the app, then update it to the latest version.
  • Open the app and create an account with your mobile number or email ID. If you are already an Uber user, just login.
  • In the Uber app, you will see the option of ‘Delhi Metro’ or ‘Public Transport’. Select it. This facility has been recently started for Delhi Metro.
  • Select the starting station and destination station of your journey. For example, if you are travelling from Rajiv Chowk to Noida City Centre, enter these details. Also, select the number of tickets (from 1 to 8).
  • Pay for the ticket via UPI, debit/credit card or Uber Wallet. The discount will be automatically applied, and you will have to pay only half the fare. For example, if the normal fare is Rs 60, you will have to pay only Rs 30.
  • After payment, you will get a QR code. Save it in your phone. You can enter and exit by scanning this QR code at the metro station gate.
  • Scan the QR code upon reaching the station and enjoy your metro journey. This ticket is valid for the same day, so make sure you are booking on the correct day and time.
