What is ELI scheme?

There are three parts to the ELI scheme:

Why is it necessary to link UAN with Aadhaar?

According to the EPFO, linking UAN (Universal Account Number) with Aadhaar can provide employees several benefits:

You can check your PF passbook online.

You can claim online.

The benefits of government schemes will be available directly in the bank account.

There is no need to open a new PF account if you change jobs – the old account will continue to be valid.

How to link UAN with Aadhaar?

• Visit the EPFO ​​portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
• Click on Activate UAN.
• Enter UAN number, Aadhaar number, date of birth and mobile number.
• Verify through OTP.
• Set password and activate UAN.

What happens after the deadline?

If you do not link UAN with Aadhaar by March 15, 2025, then you will not get the benefit of ELI scheme. It is also possible that the government may extend its deadline. The government has extended the deadline earlier also.
