This train journey which will start under the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project will provide a world-class travel experience. This will be the third Vande Bharat train of this region to be operated by the Northern Railway Zone. Earlier, two Vande Bharat trains run from Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK).

Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat: Fare, Travel Time and Route

Route and launch details The ultra-modern train is painted in orange and grey colour. The train will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar. Commercial services are expected to begin in February 2025. According to a report in Economic Times, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the first train in the first week of February. The date and time have not been decided by the Railway Board yet.

Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express Fare: Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Ticket Price
The final fare of Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express has not been announced yet. The fare of AC chair car is expected to be Rs 1500 to 1600 and the ticket of executive chair car is expected to be Rs 2200-2500. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express on July 7, 2023. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train running in Uttar Pradesh. For the convenience of railway passengers, Railways has decided to operate Vande Bharat Express train between Gorakhpur and Lucknow 6 days a week (except Saturdays).

Please inform that the distance from Gorakhpur to Lucknow is 299 kms. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat train (train number 22549) will start from Gorakhpur at 06.05 am. After this, via Sahjanwa, Khalilabad, Babhanan, Mankapur, Ayodhya and Barabanki it will reach Lucknow Junction at 10:20 am. Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train (train number 22550) will leave Lucknow at 7:15 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 11:25 pm.
