PM Kisan: If you’re a beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, you’re undoubtedly waiting for your next installment of ₹2,000. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme on March 13, 2026, during an event in Guwahati, Assam. However, approximately 94.6 million farmer families across the country are now awaiting the 23rd installment.

At present, no official announcement has been made by the government regarding its date. PM-KISAN is one of the central government’s most popular schemes, providing direct financial assistance to eligible farmer families.

When can the 23rd installment come?

Although the government has not yet announced the date of the 23rd installment, it can be estimated based on the scheme’s previous payment pattern. Three installments are issued annually under the PM Kisan Yojana.

First Installment: April to July

Second Installment: August to November

Third Installment: December to March

The 22nd instalment was released for the period from December 2025 to March 2026. Therefore, the 23rd instalment covering the period April-July 2026 is likely to be released in June or July 2026.

What are the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana?

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmer families are provided financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. This amount is transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to farmers for their farming and related needs.

Who can avail the benefits of the scheme?

This scheme benefits farmer families who own cultivable land. A farming family consists of a husband, wife, and minor children. However, land that is not cultivable or used for purposes other than agriculture is not eligible for the scheme.

How to check the beneficiary list?

• Visit the official website of PM Kisan.
• Click on “Beneficiary List” option.
• Select State, District, Block and Village.
• The list of beneficiaries will be visible as soon as you click on “Get Report”.

Check status like this from mobile app

• Farmers can also check their status through PM Kisan GOI mobile app.
• Open the app and select the Beneficiary option.
• Enter the registration ID.
• Verify with Aadhaar OTP.
• After logging in, select the installment number.
• After this the beneficiary can check the status, e-KYC status and other information.

It is necessary to do e-KYC

To avail the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme, e-KYC is mandatory. Farmers can use OTP-based e-KYC, biometric e-KYC, or face authentication-based e-KYC. The status of e-KYC can be checked online approximately 24 hours after completion.

Special arrangements have been made in the CDO office for those who are not getting pension due to the problem of Aadhar card verification and linking the NPCI account with the bank on the NPCI portal. According to sources, 52 lakh elderly people in all the districts of the state get old age pension, out of which pension has been sent to only 20 lakh beneficiaries till 15th June.

Officials claim that the first installment will be sent to the remaining beneficiaries by 31st July. It is being claimed that most of the remaining beneficiaries will be sent money in the next one week.

The government makes direct payments to the bank accounts of citizens for all kinds of benefits available to them at the national and state level. Instructions have been given to link the bank accounts of beneficiaries to the NPCI portal. Those beneficiaries whose bank accounts have not yet been linked to the NPCI portal can go to their bank branch and link their bank accounts to the NPCI portal by submitting Aadhaar, PAN card and an application form.

New account will be opened in the postal department.

A counter has been opened in the CDO office under special arrangements. Employees of the Indian Post Payment and Pension section have been seated here. If the elderly people coming here are not able to get the Aadhaar verification or NPCI done from their bank, then the employees sitting in this room will help them and if needed, will open a new account in the post office fulfilling all the standards for pension so that pension can be sent to it. According to Social Welfare Officer Sunita Singh, Aadhaar verification and NPCI have to be done for old age pension. For getting NPCI done, the beneficiary has to go to the bank and put his thumb impression there.

In view of this problem, a counter has been made in a room on the ground floor of the CDO office. There are 62 thousand beneficiaries of old age pension in Lucknow. They were to be sent three thousand rupees each as the first installment on June 15, but this amount did not reach the accounts of most of them. Many beneficiaries are making rounds of the Social Welfare Office regarding this. It is being claimed that most of the remaining beneficiaries will be sent money under the scheme in the next one week.

Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has released the first installment of arrears of revised pay scale to its 1,800 officers and employees.
