The Maharashtra government has taken a big decision keeping in mind better travel facilities for the people of the state.

The Maharashtra government cabinet has approved the proposal to provide a subsidy of Rs 3240 for each seat on Solapur-Mumbai and Solapur-Pune air routes. This facility will be available at a discounted rate of Rs 3240 per seat, which will cover 100% of the operating cost of the service.

Maharashtra government has set a budget of Rs 17.97 crore

This scheme of the Maharashtra government will be implemented for one year and will be run on the lines of the Centre’s UDAN scheme. The airline company Star Air will get this government assistance, which operates flights between Solapur-Mumbai and Solapur-Pune. The Maharashtra government has set a budget of Rs 17.97 crore to promote Solapur-Mumbai and Solapur-Pune air routes. This step of the government will reduce air fares on Mumbai-Solapur and Solapur-Pune routes and passengers will get the great facility of cheap tickets at affordable prices.

Solapur airport will come under UDAN scheme after one year

The Maharashtra government cabinet decision said, “The state government will provide VGF (viability gap funding) subsidy of Rs 3240 per seat with a total budget of Rs 17.9 crore for one year. After one year, Solapur airport will come under UDAN scheme and thereafter state government will subsidise 20% of travel fare as per UDAN scheme guidelines and viability gap funding will be discontinued.”

Flights have already started on these routes in Maharashtra under the Udan scheme

Under the UDAN scheme, airlines have to sell 50 percent of seats at a fixed rate (around ₹2500 per hour of flight) with subsidy, while the remaining seats are available at normal market rates. Let us tell you that under the UDAN scheme in Maharashtra, flights have already started on Mumbai-Nanded, Nashik-Delhi, Nanded-Hyderabad, Kolhapur-Hyderabad and Kolhapur-Bangalore routes. This scheme has promoted air connectivity, tourism and employment in small cities.

The post Maharashtra Cabinet Sanctions ₹17.97 Cr Subsidy to Offer Flights from Solapur to Pune & Mumbai at Just ₹3,240 first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

New Delhi. Passengers traveling by air should leave for their journey today only after checking the status of their flight from home. Because, two major airlines of the country have canceled their flights to many cities.

Indigo and Air India have canceled all flights to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, Jodhpur, Jamnagar, Bhuj and Rajkot till May 13, 2025 due to security related reasons. In fact, civil operations resumed on Monday at these airports which were temporarily closed due to increasing military tension between India and Pakistan.

The country’s private airline company IndiGo has issued an advisory for passengers in this regard. In a post on X, it said, “Flights to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot have been canceled till May 13, 2025.”

Check your status before leaving the airport

Earlier, airline sources said that IndiGo flight 6E2045 from Delhi to Amritsar had to return to Delhi midway after precautionary blackout measures in Amritsar. The airline said that the safety of passengers is its first priority, so the airline company regretted the cancellation of the flight. The company has assured the passengers that its teams are closely monitoring the situation.

The airline company has advised passengers to check the status of their flight on the airline’s website or app before leaving the airport. IndiGo is also contacting the affected passengers through calls or messages to help them.

Let us tell you that after the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, 32 airports in North, West and Central India, which were closed for commercial flights since May 7, reopened on Monday at 10.30 am. These include Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Bikaner, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Ludhiana, Rajkot (Hiraser) and Shimla airports.

The post Flight Cancelled: Indigo and Air India canceled many flights to these cities today, check list first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

The main runway of IGI Airport has resumed operations from today after CAT-IIIB upgradation, which will solve the problem of flight delays and diversions.

Due to the closure of the main runway of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) for the last few days to upgrade the CAT-IIIB instrument landing system, many flights were getting delayed and many flights had to be diverted. But, this problem will be solved from today because Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has reopened this runway from today. However, the upgradation work on the runway is not yet complete.

The main runway 10/28 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) was closed on 8 April to upgrade the CAT-IIIB Instrument Landing System (ILS) here. The old system has been improved on the Vasant Vihar side and the CAT-IIIB system has been installed for the first time on the Dwarka side. It is worth noting that due to the closure of this runway, the capacity of IGI Airport had reduced and only three runways were in operation. Due to easterly winds, the airport was able to land a maximum of 32 aircraft every hour, whereas many more flights are planned. Due to this, an average of 94 flights were getting affected daily.

After the runway was

closed, flights in Delhi faced huge problems. Due to the unusual easterly winds blowing for some time, planes had to land from Dwarka and take off from Vasant Vihar. This affected air traffic and many flights were delayed and diverted.

Government intervened

Seeing the inconvenience being faced by passengers, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu had advised Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to get the ILS system work done after the summer holidays. However, DIAL said that this work has been done as per the plan after the consent of all the necessary agencies. DIAL says that runway 10/28 will be closed again between June and September 2025, when the number of tourists will be less and the wind direction will also be favorable.

Two new flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru are going to start soon from Darbhanga Airport. Along with this, work has also been expedited towards developing it as an international airport.

Soon, a new flight service is going to start from Darbhanga Airport to Mumbai and Bengaluru. People of Mithila and North Bihar are going to be very excited with this news. There is a news of relief for people going to Mumbai and Bengaluru, because now they will get better connectivity to travel to the metros from their city Darbhanga itself. This will not only increase travel facilities, but will also promote regional development.

At the same time, many important steps are being taken by the government to develop Darbhanga Airport at the international level. In this regard, Rajya Sabha MP and JDU’s acting national president Sanjay Kumar Jha has held a detailed meeting with the officials of the Civil Aviation Ministry. In the meeting, there was a discussion on making Darbhanga as well as Purnia airport functional.

The process of acquiring 90 acres of land required for the expansion of Darbhanga airport has been started. For this, the Bihar government has approved an amount of Rs 245 crore and transferred it to the Darbhanga district administration. This amount will be used for the work of runway expansion. This effort is an important step towards preparing the airport as per international standards.

Sanjay Jha has said that upgrading Darbhanga Airport to international level will give a new impetus to the development of North Bihar. This will generate new opportunities for business, tourism and employment in the region. Local people will not only get better air service, but they will also get direct economic benefits from it.

Maha Kumbh 2025:The much-awaited Maha Kumbh is starting in Prayagraj from January 13. Crores of people will take a dip in the Triveni Sangam during this 45-day long Maha Kumbh. Big beliefs are associated with this Maha Kumbh, which is being held after 12 years.

Due to which it is believed that more than 40 crore people will take a dip in the Triveni Sangam this time. The government has also made full preparations for this. Prayagraj can be easily reached by road, rail and plane. Keeping this Maha Kumbh in mind, aviation companies have also diverted many planes towards Prayagraj. Due to which reaching Prayagraj by air will be easier and comfortable this time than before.

According to data from aviation analytics company Cirium, a large number of planes will fly to Prayagraj. According to the report, Prayagraj Airport handled a total of 117 flights in December. The figure will almost double in early February.

SpiceJet is connecting these cities to Prayagraj

Currently, SpiceJet planes do not fly to Prayagraj. But due to Maha Kumbh, it will operate 35 flights a week with one flight each daily from Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru. SpiceJet made good money in the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj 12 years ago. At that time, the company operated 7 flights on some days in view of the demand. But compared to today, there is a lot of difference in SpiceJet before 2014.

Government company Alliance Air operates its flights from Prayagraj. Due to which, apart from Delhi, it will be easy for this company to connect Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Dehradun to Prayagraj. At the same time, Indigo and Akasa Air are increasing their capacities.

Who is connecting how many cities?

Alliance Air is connecting 9 cities to Prayagraj and Indigo is connecting 7 cities to Kumbh city. SpiceJet will connect 5 cities and Akasa Air will connect 2 cities. In a week, 42 flights of Indigo, 35 flights of SpiceJet, 26 flights of Alliance Air and 14 flights of Akasa Air will be operated from Prayagraj.

Every week 7374 seats will be available in IndiGo, 5558 seats in SpiceJet, 2613 seats in Akasa Air and 1666 seats in Alliance Air. Let us tell you, airline companies are connecting a total of 23 cities to Prayagraj.

The March quarter was very difficult

The months from January to March were very difficult for airline companies. The board exams in this month also affected the aviation sector. But due to Maha Kumbh, airline companies are seeing great possibilities. They are trying to capitalize on it.

Will Prayagraj airport be able to handle so much air traffic?

The airport of Kumbh city Prayagraj is controlled by the Indian Air Force. In the last 12 years, the capacity of Prayagraj airport has doubled. In view of the Maha Kumbh, the government has also invested a lot in Prayagraj airport. A large number of devotees from the country and abroad will come to Prayagraj. Due to which airline companies and the Airport Authority of India have increased the number of employees.

There is a good news for the residents of Jharkhand. The fourth Bokaro airport of the state is going to start its operation. Commercial flights will start flying from here from 28 February 2024.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has given approval to start operations from this airport. According to IANS news, this information was given by Bokaro BJP MLA Biranchi Narayan. After Ranchi, Deoghar and Jamshedpur, this is the fourth airport in the state from where commercial domestic flights will be started. Two companies, Alliance Air and Fly Week, have been given permission to operate flights from this airport.

Necessary facilities have been made available

According to the news, under the Indian Government’s scheme ‘UDAN’ (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), regular air connectivity had already been approved from this airport, but it was getting delayed due to various technical formalities. The airport at Bokaro has been developed by SAIL, but at present there are no commercial flights from here. According to the news, SAIL has provided all the necessary facilities for commercial flights here. Here the work of ATC tower, runway, fire feet, passenger lobby, main gate and other structures has been completed.

Special vehicle Rapid Intervention Vehicle arrived

The MoU with Airport Authority of India to start air services from Bokaro Airport was renewed in January. After this the licensing process was started. But, the process was slowed down due to non-felling of trees. Fire brigade’s special vehicle Rapid Intervention Vehicle reached Bokaro Airport on Monday. This vehicle is specially installed in the airport, so that major accidents like fire can be prevented. 16 trained fire department personnel also reached the airport. The work of removing the illegal slaughter house running next to the airport is still pending.

Inside India, under the UDAN scheme, air travel is starting in small cities. But, now there is a strong preparation to start flights to new places abroad as well.

For this, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken a big decision on Monday. After this decision, companies like Indigo, Air India, Vistara and Akasa Air will be able to start flights to new cities of the world and air passengers will get direct benefit.

DGCA has said in an order issued on June 12 that Indian companies will be given huge relaxation in rules to start flying to new international destinations. With the easing of rules, it will be much easier for domestic airlines to reach foreign cities. DGCA reviews the preparedness of companies before starting flights to any new international destination and they are allowed to start flights only after they are fit on all scales.

What has changed

According to the statement issued by DGCA, the standards set for Indian companies have been relaxed. Now, instead of 33, their standard will be judged only on 10 points. This means that Indian airlines will now meet only 10 standards instead of 33, then they will get a chance to start flights to new international destinations. DGCA has said in its notification that this decision has been taken at a time when Indian airlines are increasing their reach in foreign cities.

Indigo will start flights to 6 places

Indian airlines Air India, Vistara, Indigo, Akasa Air are preparing to increase international operations. Indigo has even announced to start its new flights in Africa and Central Asian countries. In August, the company will start new flights. Similarly, Air India is also preparing to start new flights to Europe, West Asian countries and America. Akasa Air has also decided to start flights to many new international destinations by December.

The post Good news for air travelers!

Airfare Hike in India: GoFirst had canceled all its flights on 3rd May due to bad financial situation. In such a situation, people are facing a lot of trouble during the summer vacation season.

The spot air fare has increased manifold on many routes. According to media report , the data of different travel portals has shown that even after the efforts of DGCA, passengers on many routes have to pay huge airfares.

Air fare became costlier by 30 to 40 percent

The director of Federation of Association in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) said that for the next few days, passengers are not going to get any relief in air fares. It is worth noting that the current air fare has become costlier by 30 to 40 percent as compared to before the Corona period. In such a situation, people will have to loose more pockets to travel on many routes during the summer holidays.

Go first crisis increased the trouble

Significantly, the airlines company Go First Crisis, which is going through bad financial conditions, had applied to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on 2 May for bankruptcy. After this, the company stopped operating flights of all its routes from 3 May.

Passengers are unable to get flights on many routes due to the cancellation of more than 300 flights in the last one month by the company providing cheap air services. On the other hand, the air fare on these routes is skyrocketing. Because of this it is affecting other airlines as well.

The highest airfare increased on these routes-

Delhi-Mumbai, Srinagar-Delhi, Mumbai-Goa, Patna-Delhi, Delhi-Pune, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Bengaluru-Mumbai, Delhi-Leh, Delhi-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Chandigarh routes to be operated by GoFirst in 2022 but, has been done. In such a situation, the maximum increase in air fare has been seen on these routes only. According to the data of the online portal, 337.5 percent of the airfares on the Delhi-Ahmedabad route, 201.9 percent on the Delhi-Pune route, 94.8 percent on the Kolkata-Ahmedabad route, 84.2 percent on the Kolkata-Bengaluru route, 32.2 percent on the Delhi-Srinagar route, Delhi- Leh route is registering an increase of 18.6 per cent and Bengaluru-Mumbai route 8.3 per cent.

After the intervention of the government, these routes got some relief

Air India and Indigo are trying to increase the number of their flights on many demand routes like Delhi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Pune. Due to this, there will be some reduction in air fare on these routes. At the same time, the government had also recently asked the airlines companies to increase the air fares in a restrained manner. After the intervention of the government, a drop of 10 to 15 percent in airfares has been registered in some routes. Air fare has been reduced by 10 percent on the Delhi-Leh route, 11 percent on the Delhi-Srinagar route, 12 percent on the Mumbai-Srinagar route and 12 percent on the Delhi-Pune route.

The post Air fare Increased!

Air India Slash Flights: Air India has decided to reduce the number of its flights on some international routes. According to media report, the company has decided to reduce the number of its flights to many countries like Oman, United Arab Emirates and Qatar (Air India Slashed Flights in International Routes). This decision has been taken due to shortage of crew members and shortage of planes.

Decision taken due to lack of flights

Air India has told on this matter that one day in a week, flights going and coming between Delhi to Muscat, Delhi to Dubai and Delhi to Abu Dhabi are being cancelled. The operation of these flights will be temporarily stopped from the end of April to May. On this matter, the company official told that Air India and Air India Express are re-arranging their network. Due to this, airlines have had to temporarily stop the operation of their flights on many routes.

Which routes will be affected

Air India has issued a circular to travel agents informing them that the airline will not operate its weekly flight between Delhi and Muscat from April 29 to May 27. At the same time, flights between Delhi and Doha will not be operated between 30 April to 28 May. Weekly flights between Delhi and Dubai will not be operated from May 2 to May 30. At the same time, the flight operating between Delhi and Abu Dhabi on Wednesday has also been closed between May 3 and May 31.

Flights to America also cut

Earlier in March, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson had informed that due to shortage of pilots and crew members, the number of flights on some US routes was being reduced. Significantly, Air India has been struggling with the shortage of pilots and crew members for a long time.

In June 2022, 1,500 crew members of the company had taken VRS. Since then, there has been a shortage of employees in the airlines. Airlines have recently ordered 470 new planes. In such a situation, the company is planning to hire on a large scale in the next few years, so that the shortage of both flights and staff can be removed.

New Delhi. The country’s second busiest airport will be closed for 6 hours next month. All flights will be suspended due to maintenance work at Mumbai airport. The private airport operator has given this information.

According to the airport operator Adani Group, both the intersecting runways of the Mumbai airport will be repaired on October 18, 2022. About 800 flights are operated daily from its main runway 9/27 and other runway 14/32. In terms of movement of such a large number of aircraft, Mumbai Airport comes second after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

When will the airport be closed

Adani Group said that on October 18, the runway will be closed from 11 am to 5 pm due to runway repair work. It is part of the runway repairs done every year post monsoon, so that the faulty rain can be repaired again. During the repair, the edge light of runway 14/32 will also be fixed and the aeronautical ground light will also be upgraded.

What is the effect on passengers

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has said that all flights have already been rescheduled for the convenience of passengers during the closure of the runway. Due to this, passengers will not be inconvenienced even though flights are affected during maintenance. All flights between 11 am and 5 pm on 18 October have been rescheduled to any earlier or later time. Due to this, passengers will not face any problem in reaching their destination.

Mumbai Airport with a capacity of 90 million passengers operates the second highest number of flights in the country. When this airport works at its full capacity, it can handle the movement of 90 million passengers annually. After the Corona epidemic, there was a huge reduction in flights due to the ban, but now the number of passengers has started increasing again. A record 1,30,374 passengers arrived at the Mumbai airport in a single day on September 17, which is the highest after the Corona epidemic.

The post Flight Suspend: Mumbai airport will be closed on this day, all flights will be suspended for 6 hours, what is the reason for this? first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
