DMRC has announced that on August 15, Independence Day, metro services will start at 4 am, while on normal days these services start at 6 am! This decision has been taken for the convenience of thousands of people who want to be a part of the flag hoisting ceremony at the Red Fort.

What is the new schedule of the metro?

On August 15, train services on all lines of the Delhi Metro (Red, Yellow, Blue, Magenta etc.) will begin at 4:00 am. From 4:00 am to 6:00 am, trains on all lines will run at an interval of 30 minutes. After 6:00 am, the metro will run as per its normal and regular schedule throughout the day.

Travel will be absolutely free for these people!

DMRC has also given the gift of free travel to some people on this special day. This includes all those special guests and invitees who have a valid invitation card issued by the Ministry of Defense. These special guests will be provided a ticket with a special QR code by DMRC. Through this ticket, they will be able to travel free in the metro. The metro fare of these passengers will be paid to DMRC by the Ministry of Defense.

If you are going to the ceremony, it will be most convenient for you to get down at these three Metro stations:

• Red Fort (Violet Line)
• Jama Masjid (Violet Line)

Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that in the 246th meeting of the Board of Directors of Parivar Nigam, it has been decided to give two free family travel passes and three 50% concession passes to the contractual employees. Giving information, the Minister said that the employees working directly on contract in the corporation including drivers and conductors and employees directly associated with the corporation in the workshop will get the benefit of this facility.

He also praised the contribution of all the employees in improving the image of the Transport Corporation. Free travel pass will also boost the morale of contractual employees and will increase efficiency in their work. Earlier in the month, many important decisions were taken by the state government regarding the old pension scheme including increase in honorarium of contract workers and other employees. State employees will also be given the benefit of increase in dearness allowance.

Starting near Bharatkup of Chitrakoot, the Bundelkhand Expressway goes up to Etawah. From here it meets Yamuna Expressway connecting with Agra Lucknow Expressway. With the construction of this expressway, now Chitrakoot can be reached from Delhi in just 8 hours. There are a total of 6 toll plazas and 7 ramp plazas on this expressway.

Chitrakoot to Delhi Now it has become easy to reach Delhi from Chitrakoot through Bundelkhand Expressway in 8 hours. Earlier it used to take 12 to 13 hours to travel from Chitrakoot to Delhi. But with the construction of expressway, now this time has reduced to just 8 hours. The 296.07 kilometer long Bundelkhand Expressway meets the Agra-Lucknow Expressway via Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.

How much will be the toll rates?

To go to Delhi through Bundelkhand Expressway, four wheelers like car, jeep etc. are estimated to have toll tax of about Rs 610 (Bundelkhand Expressway toll price). At the same time, toll tax of about Rs 935 can be collected from buses, trucks and heavy vehicles, while toll tax of Rs 665 can be collected from light commercial vehicles. Rs 1935 will have to be paid as toll tax for the operation of buses or trucks on the expressway. At the same time, Rs 2965 will have to be paid as tax for taking the machines used in heavy construction work through the expressway.
