The prices of petrol and diesel are decided on the basis of the prices of crude oil in the global market. Currently, there is a fluctuation in the prices of crude oil.

What is the price of petrol and diesel in metro cities

  • The price of one litre petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.62 per litre.
  • In Mumbai, the price of petrol is ₹ 103.44 per litre and diesel is priced at ₹ 89.97 per litre.
  • In Kolkata, the price of petrol is ₹ 104.95 per litre and diesel is ₹ 91.76 per litre.
  • The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.75 per litre and the price of diesel is Rs 92.34 per litre.

Oil marketing companies had reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter before the Lok Sabha elections. After this, there was no change in their prices in all the cities of the country. Even today, fuel prices remain stable in all the cities. Since the rates of petrol and diesel are different in all the cities, one should get the tank filled after checking the latest rates.

According to the HPCL website, this is the price of fuel in the metropolitan cities of the country:

  • In the country’s capital Delhi, the price of petrol per liter is Rs 94.76 and the price of diesel per liter is Rs 87.66.
  • In Mumbai, which is called the economic capital, a liter of petrol is available at Rs 104.19 and a liter of diesel at Rs 92.13.
  • In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, the price of petrol is Rs 103.93 per liter and diesel is Rs 90.74 per liter.
  • In Chennai, petrol is available at Rs 100.73 per liter and diesel at Rs 92.32 per liter.
  • In Bengaluru, which is called a metro city, petrol is Rs 99.82 and diesel is Rs 85.92 per liter.
