Go First Airlines has announced to cancel its flight operations till 27 July. GoFirst tweeted a while back saying that we are sorry to inform that GoFirst flights scheduled till July 27, 2023 have been canceled due to operational reasons. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation.

The airlines also said in the tweet that the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and commencement of operations. We will be able to start booking again soon. we thank you for your patience

DGCA has given permission to fly

Recently, on Friday, July 21, Go First has been allowed by the aviation regulator DGCA to fly with conditions. However, despite this, GoFirst’s repeated postponement of its flight operations is an indication that all is not well for the company. Significantly, the insolvency resolution process is going on against Go First. The company had stopped its airlines from May 3.

DGCA had given permission with these conditions

It is very important for airlines to have an air operator certificate at all times.

The aircraft used in the operation should be in good airworthiness.

No aircraft should be used in operation without a handling flight.

Any change in the company which has a bearing on the plan submitted by the resolution professional should be immediately informed to DGCA.

The resolution professional will have to provide information about flight schedules, aircraft condition, pilots, cabin crew, AMEs, flight dispatchers to the regulator.

However, it can be said that the company is currently thinking of restarting its flight operations with the aircraft which are currently in operational condition with GoFirst.

The post Flight Canceled: Big news for Air Passengers!

Go First Airlines has now canceled all its flights for May 5 after May 3-4. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has already issued a show cause notice to GoFirst.

GoFirst is insolvent and the company’s board has given permission to start the process of its resolution. According to the show cause notice sent by DGCA, the company has canceled the flights on 3-4 date without giving any notice.

After the notice sent to GoFirst, the company told DGCA that it will not operate the aircraft till 3-5th. Earlier, DGCA had sent a notice to GoFirst asking why the company canceled the flights without notice and permission. Keeping in view the interests of passengers, it is mandatory to take permission from DGCA before canceling any flight.

Violation of which rules

DGCA had said in the notice that Go First had not given any valid reason for canceling its flights. The company did not take necessary permissions before canceling its flights and it is failing to follow the rules. For this reason, the company has clearly violated Section 3, Series M and Part 4 of the Civil Aviation Rules.

What the company said

The company has said that the airline was forced to cancel 28 of its flights. According to Go First Pratt & Whitney’s, this happened due to the availability of engines. The company says that along with this economic challenges were also in front of us.

The airline’s CEO Kaushik Khona has said that applying for voluntary bankruptcy resolution proceedings is an unfortunate decision, but it was necessary to do so keeping in mind the interests of the company. However, the company has said that it will provide refund to all the passengers.

If the booking is done directly with GoFirst, the money will be directly credited to the account. On the other hand, if the ticket is booked through an agent, the money will go to him and passengers can get refund from there.

The post Go First Cancel Flights: Go First flight canceled on 5th May, earlier it had stopped operations on 3-4th first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
