Bihar News: Another big step has been taken towards making the education system in Bihar strong and effective.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has informed through a tweet that the state government has decided to double the honorarium of the personnel working under the Education Department. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informed that when his government was formed in the year 2005, the total budget of education was ₹4366 crores, which has now increased to ₹77690 crores. During this time, there has been extensive improvement in the education system due to the appointment of a large number of teachers, construction of new school buildings and development of infrastructure.

Big announcement of Bihar government

The Bihar government has also acknowledged that mid-day meal cooks, night watchmen and physical education and health instructors have played an important role in maintaining the quality of education. To honour the contribution of these workers, a historic increase has been made in their honorarium.

  • The monthly honorarium of cooks has been increased from ₹1650 to ₹3300 .
  •  The honorarium of night guards has been increased from ₹5000 to ₹10000
  •  The honorarium of Physical Education and Health Instructors has been doubled from ₹8000 to ₹16000 .

Also, the annual salary increment of these workers has also been increased from ₹ 200 to ₹ 400. The Chief Minister said that this decision will boost the morale of these workers and they will perform their duties with more enthusiasm, loyalty and dedication.
