Public Holiday: Voting will be held for 70 assembly seats in Delhi on 5 February 2025. Keeping this important day in mind, all government and private offices have been announced to remain closed.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has already clarified that all central government offices as well as industrial establishments will remain closed on this day, so that employees get full opportunity to exercise their democratic rights.

Since many schools and colleges are used as polling centres during elections, there is a tradition of keeping educational institutions closed on this day. To conduct the election process smoothly, a holiday is often declared a day before the polling so that administrative preparations can be finalised. In this sequence, the school section of Jamia Millia Islamia will remain completely closed on 4th and 5th February.

Apart from this, with the aim of making citizens aware about the Delhi elections, the Deputy Director of Education will organize a Prabhat Rally on 3 February 2025 at 9 am. Students will participate in this rally with posters and banners and will motivate local residents to vote by raising various slogans. In this regard, an official notice was issued by the District Election Officer of District South West, Government of Delhi on January 31, in which the Deputy Directors of Education of South West Delhi (Najafgarh) and West Delhi (Vikaspuri) were instructed to ensure active participation in this campaign. Overall, preparations are being made on a large scale to conduct the assembly elections in Delhi successfully and ensure maximum participation of voters.

Holiday declared in Haryana as well

In view of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Haryana government has declared a paid holiday on February 5 in all public offices, educational institutions, boards and corporations. The purpose of this holiday is to facilitate those government employees who are registered voters in Delhi and want to exercise their franchise in the elections. An official statement said that this holiday has been given under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and Section 135-B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (amended in 1996). This provision will apply to those employees who are voters of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, so that they can vote without any hassle.

Till today you must have seen people riding bikes or scooters wearing helmets. To avoid road accidents, people wear helmets while driving. But have you seen people working wearing helmets in any office? If not then welcome to Kaimur, Bihar. A video of a government office in Kaimur is going viral on social media, in which employees were seen wearing helmets.

This video going viral is of the main post office of Kaimur district. Indian Post is a government institution. While everyone in India wants a government job, the people working in this post office regret their jobs. People coming to work in this post office wear helmets inside the office. Someone who came to the office made a video of this and shared it on social media. When the reason behind doing this was known, everyone was surprised.

How to save yourself from a dilapidated building

The employees working in the post office wear helmets inside. Even if an employee comes on foot, he brings a helmet with him. On asking, it was told that this post office building is very old. Its roof has become very weak. Every now and then its plaster keeps falling down. In such a situation, the employees fear that the building may collapse any time. For this reason, they wear helmets for safety.

The balcony has fallen many times

Employees working in the post office said that a large part of the roof had fallen down. Complaints were made several times but when no action was taken, the employees started wearing helmets. As soon as its video was shared on social media, it went viral. People wrote in the comments that this could happen only in Bihar. Now it is being said that preparations are underway to shift this office to another place.
