The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a notification for all vehicle owners to also do Aadhaar authentication of their registered vehicles. For this, they will have to update the phone number linked to Aadhaar.

To make vehicle registration easier, the government is linking them to the owner’s mobile number. The advantage of this is that important information related to the vehicle reaches the owner directly. Also, during any kind of action, the details related to the vehicle reach you. In such a situation, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a notification for all vehicle owners to also do Aadhaar authentication of their registered vehicle. For this, they will have to update the phone number linked to Aadhaar. If the phone number linked to Aadhaar is already updated, then you do not need to do this process.

Process to update mobile number linked to Aadhaar:

First go to parivahan.gov.in

Select “Update Mobile Number via Aadhaar”

Enter your vehicle registration number and chassis/engine number

Authenticate using Aadhaar OTP

Confirm and update it

According to the new advisory of MoRTH, all driving license (DL) holders and registered vehicle owners have been urged to link or update their mobile numbers immediately. This process should be completed through Aadhaar authentication to ensure better communication and better access to transport related services.

According to the advisory of the ministry, linking the registered vehicle to their mobile numbers as well as authentication with their Aadhaar numbers will be mandatory. This will be necessary to use any transport or driving license related services.

The ministry further said that individuals can visit the official Vahan and Sarathi portals to add or update their mobile number details. “This will help ensure that the information is complete, accurate and up to date. An online facility has been provided on the portal to update the mobile number,” the ministry said.

State transport departments are also sending alerts to DL holders and vehicle owners reminding them to update their details. Both the Centre and state transport departments are running campaigns to nab people who change phone numbers and addresses to avoid paying fines.

The post Government Rule: Mandatory Aadhaar-Mobile Linking with Vehicle & Driving License – All You Need to Know first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Birth and Death Certificate: If you delay in getting a birth and death certificate, then a fee will be charged from you. If you apply within 21 days of birth or death, the certificate will be made free of cost. But, if you apply after 21 days, you will have to pay a fee.

There is a big and important news for the residents of the capital. If you delay in getting the birth and death certificate, then you will be charged a fee. The certificate will be made free if you apply within 21 days of birth or death. But, if you apply after 21 days, you will have to pay a fee.

Know how much late fee you will have to pay

After the change in the CRS portal of the Central Government, this rule has now been implemented in Ranchi Municipal Corporation. Now the certificate will be made free if you apply within 21 days of birth and death. At the same time, a fee of Rs 2 will have to be paid if you apply within 21 days to 30 days, Rs 5 if you apply within 31 days to 1 year and Rs 10 if you apply after one year.

What was the rule in the past?

It should be noted that earlier, birth and death certificates were made free of cost if the application was made within 21 days. Those who applied after 21 days were charged a late fee of Rs 1. But now this late fee has been increased. Now if you do not apply for 1 year, you will have to pay a late fee of Rs 10.
