Pension: The Haryana government has made a major announcement ahead of Diwali. State Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday announced an increase in old-age pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200 per month. The increased amount will be available starting in November.

Pension: Just before Diwali, the Haryana government has opened its coffers for the elderly. The state government has made a major announcement for senior citizens. State Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced an increase in old-age pension from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,200 per month. The increased amount will be available starting in November. This increase will provide financial relief to approximately 2 million elderly people and improve their quality of life.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini announced the increase in pensions for the elderly as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana completes its first year of its third consecutive term. CM Saini stated that last year his government fulfilled 46 of the 217 election promises made before the 2024 assembly elections. He has promised to fulfill 90 resolutions in the current financial year 2025-26.

Panchkula has the fewest elderly people
According to the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Haryana has a total of 3,589 elderly pensioners aged 101 to 120 years. Of these, 2,449 are women and 1,140 are men. This means that two out of every three pensioners are women. These figures indicate that the average age of women in the state is higher than that of men. The highest number of pensioners is in Karnal district, where a total of 230 elderly people fall in this category. Bhiwani and Sirsa are followed by 221 beneficiaries each. Panchkula has the lowest number of pensioners, with only 59.

The government is fulfilling its election promises – CM

State Chief Minister Saini said that among the promises fulfilled is the Lado Laxmi Yojana, under which eligible women are given Rs 2,100 per month. He said that work on other election promises is progressing rapidly. Addressing the “Jan Vishwas-Jan Vikas” state-level program in Panchkula, the Chief Minister announced an increase in pensions effective November 1. He said that the state government is focusing on “equal development” and is working with new momentum and energy to fulfill the Prime Minister’s dream of a developed India.

People of the state received plots of land.
Saini said that his government has allotted 8,029 plots to beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Village Housing Scheme in 141 villages. He said that 4,002 plots were distributed in the first phase and last year 77,199 families benefited from various housing schemes.

Opposition takes aim
Political rhetoric has intensified in Haryana over the pension hike. Congress MLA Ashok Arora attacked the state government, saying, “This government only makes empty promises, it does nothing. What difference will a mere ₹200 increase make? The public has been deceived, not relieved.”

Haryana Launches Free Bus Facility: The Haryana government has started a free roadways bus service, which is a big relief for children coming to school from remote villages.

There is good news for those children studying in government schools who used to walk long distances from remote villages to school. Now their problems will be reduced, as the state government has started free Haryana Roadways bus service. With this, children will be able to reach school comfortably and focus fully on their studies. This facility has given great relief especially to those children who were forced to travel from far away places every day despite the poor condition of the roads and paths.

Free bus service for children

Talking to Local18, DI Mahendra Rana of Ballabhgarh Bus Stand said that this free bus service of Haryana Roadways has been started for Government Senior Secondary School Fatehpur Taga and Government School of Sagarpur village. This bus brings children to school from their village in the morning and drops them back to their village safely after the afternoon break. Apart from this, free bus service is also available for Sushma Swaraj College, Dudhela College, KL Mehta College and a girls college. Special arrangements have been made for children at the bus stand where they wait for the bus on time.

This facility will prove to be a boon for children.

Block Education Officer Mahendra Singh said that this facility has just been started in selected schools, but it will soon be extended to other schools as well, so that every child does not face any hurdle in their studies. The school for children starts at 8 am, so the buses leave one to one and a half hours earlier so that the children can reach comfortably on time. Now the young children will not have to cover long distances on foot and they will be able to study with full dedication after reaching their school. This service will prove to be a boon for those children who want to move forward with their dedication and hard work but used to lag behind due to difficulties on the way.

This will be a relief for parents.

This initiative of the government has not only provided convenience to the children but has also brought a smile of relief on the faces of their parents. This step will be helpful in further raising the standard of education and will strengthen the foundation for a bright future for the children of remote areas.

The post Free Bus Service for Haryana Government School Students: Routes and Details Announced first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

The Haryana government has taken a big decision to control air pollution. From November 1, 2025, 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles will not get petrol-diesel in Faridabad, Gurugram and Sonipat districts of NCR.

The Haryana government has taken a big decision to control air pollution. From November 1, 2025, 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles will not get petrol-diesel in Faridabad, Gurugram and Sonipat districts of NCR. This decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by the state’s Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on Monday.

Automatic number plate recognition cameras will be installed at all petrol pumps to identify old vehicles. In the first phase, these cameras will be installed in all three districts by 31 October 2025. This scheme will be implemented in the remaining NCR districts of the state from 1 April 2026. These cameras are to be installed there by 31 March 2026. Through these cameras, vehicles whose age is more than the prescribed limit will not be given petrol-diesel.

Only new autos running on electricity and CNG will be registered: The Haryana government has also decided in its action plan that from now on, only new auto rickshaws running on electricity or CNG will be registered. From November 1, 2025, only light, medium and heavy goods vehicles of BS-6 standard will be able to enter Delhi.

Such a rule will be applicable in Delhi also from July 1

It is worth noting that according to Bhasha, on May 18, the Delhi government had also said that petrol and diesel will not be given to vehicles older than the prescribed limit from July 1. Officials had said that the work of installing cameras at petrol pumps to identify such vehicles is almost complete. Let us tell you that in April, the Air Quality Management Commission (CAAQM) had instructed the Delhi officials that all vehicles older than the prescribed limit (diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years) should not be given fuel from July 1.

As per the order, all fuel stations in Delhi will have to install Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras by June 30. These systems will detect vehicles older than 10 years (diesel) or 15 years (petrol).

In a public notice, the Delhi government’s transport department said that old vehicles identified by ANPR cameras or through any other surveillance mechanism at fuel stations across Delhi will be prosecuted under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1989, and will also not be given fuel.

Haryana government has rejected the Revenue Department’s proposal to increase the collector rate of land. The Revenue Department wanted to increase the collector rate by 10 to 20 percent.

But, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is not in favor of this. He has given clear instructions that the registration of land in Haryana will be done at the old collector rate only. In Haryana, the revised collector rate is implemented in April after March. This time the code of conduct was in place due to the Lok Sabha elections. Due to this, the new collector rate could not be implemented.

As soon as the code of conduct was lifted, proposals for revised collector rates were sent to the Revenue Department from the districts. When this file reached Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini for approval, he returned the file to the department and ordered registration of land at the old rate in all the districts of the state. Former CM of the state Manohar Lal Khattar had given instructions during his tenure that before increasing the collector rate, the property prices in the districts should be ascertained properly.

There was a proposal to increase the collector rate by 20%

. This time the revenue department in Haryana had proposed to increase the collector rate by 10 to 20 percent. The maximum proposals to increase the collector rate came from the districts under NCR. These include Rohtak, Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, Bahadurgarh, Sonipat, Karnal, Panipat districts. The district administration here had sent proposals to increase the collector rate by up to 20 percent.

Collector rate is very important for buying and selling of land. Registration fees are charged on the basis of collector rate. The government fixes collector rate for land in every village, city and district. Land registration is not done below collector rate. The district administration fixes collector rate for the land of the district only after studying the situation and market research at different places and sends its proposal to the revenue department. Collector rate is fixed after the approval of the state government.

Liquor Price Increased: After the Lok Sabha elections, liquor is going to become expensive in Delhi’s neighboring state Haryana.

The Cabinet of Haryana Government on Wednesday approved the new excise policy, in which it has been proposed to increase the excise duty on liquor from next month.

Haryana government approved

According to a report by news agency PTI, the Haryana government led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, after taking approval from the Election Commission, approved the new excise policy in the cabinet meeting held in Chandigarh on Wednesday. Since Lok Sabha elections are going on across the country, the government first needed a green signal from the Election Commission on this decision. However, the new policy will be implemented only after the end of the Lok Sabha elections.

New policy will be implemented from next month

Lok Sabha elections 2024 have started from last month i.e. April 2024. So far four phases of elections have been held and three phases of voting are still left. Voting will be held in the last phase on June 1, 2024. After that, the results of Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be released on June 4. The new excise policy of Haryana government will come into effect from June 12. This policy is for the next one year from June 12, 2024.

Liquor prices will not increase much

According to the report, after the implementation of the new policy, there may be an increase in the prices of liquor in Haryana, because in the new policy it has been proposed to increase the excise duty. However, it has not yet been told by how much the excise duty has been increased. Right now it has only been told that the proposal to increase the excise duty has been approved and the increase is minor.

Auction of shops will start from May 27

In the new policy, there is a proposal to increase the excise duty on both Indian Made Foreign Liquor i.e. IMFL and country liquor. That means, after the implementation of the new policy from June 12, the prices of both English liquor and country liquor are going to increase in Haryana. The government will also fix the minimum retail selling rate for imported brands in the coming days. After approval of the policy, e-auction of liquor retail shops will start from May 27.

QR code based track and trace system

Haryana Government had introduced QR code based track and trace system on IMFL and country liquor for the year starting from June 12, 2023. Now it has been decided to apply it to imported foreign liquor also in the year starting from June 12, 2024. For 2024-25, the state government has fixed the maximum basic quota of IMFL at 700 lakh proof liters and country liquor at 1,200 lakh proof litres.
