Before taking a locker in State Bank of India, you have to keep in mind that you may have to pay several charges ranging from locker rent to opening it, visiting it repeatedly, etc. This charge can range from Rs 1500 to Rs 9000 and you will also have to pay GST separately on it. You will also have to pay a charge of Rs 500-1000 for registration.

If you open a locker in HDFC Bank, you may have to pay a charge of Rs 500 to Rs 20,000 for the locker. This charge depends on the area in which you are availing the locker facility and also how big or small the locker is.
