The waiting list for trains is getting longer and the seats of buses are already full. In such a situation, to reduce this dilemma of the passengers, the Railways has announced to operate special trains.

Special trains are being announced for different routes every day. In this series, Holi special trains will be operated between Danapur to Jabalpur, Rani Kamlapati and Kota, Jalna-Patna and Gaya-Anand Vihar. This will provide convenience to those coming home on Holi and returning back home.

Gaya-Anand Vihar Superfast Special Train

Train No. 03697 Gaya – Anand Vihar Superfast Special will depart from Gaya at 14.15 hrs, except every Sunday from 6 March to 31 March, and will reach Anand Vihar at 07.10 hrs the next day, stopping at Anugrah Narayan Road at 15.06 hrs, Dehri on Sone at 15.24 hrs, Sasaram at 15.42 hrs, Bhabua Road at 16.14 hrs, DDU at 17.20 hrs, Prayagraj at 19.50 hrs. In the return journey, train no. 03698 Anand Vihar-Gaya Superfast Special will leave Anand Vihar at 08.20 hrs every Monday from 07 March to 01 April, stopping at Prayagraj at 17.20 hrs, DDU at 21.05 hrs, Bhabua Road at 21.58 hrs, Sasaram at 22.34 hrs, Dehri on Sone at 22.52 hrs, Anugrah Narayan Road at 23.08 hrs and will reach Gaya at 00.30 hrs.

Jalna-Patna Holi Special Train

Train number-07611 Jalna-Patna Holi Special will leave Jalna at 22.00 hrs on 06, 10 and 15 March and will reach Patna at 09.45 hrs on the third day, stopping at DDU at 05.40 hrs, Buxar at 07.00 hrs, Ara at 07.43 hrs, Danapur at 08.35 hrs. On return, train number-07612 Patna-Jalna Holi Special will leave Patna at 15.45 hrs on 08, 12 and 17 March and will reach Jalna at 05.35 hrs on the third day, stopping at Danapur at 16.05 hrs, Ara at 16.40 hrs, Buxar at 18.08 hrs and DDU at 20.15 hrs.

Jabalpur-Danapur Holi Special Train

Train number-01705 Jabalpur-Danapur Holi Special will leave Jabalpur on 11 March at 19.40 hrs and reach Danapur at 08.45 hrs the next day, stopping at DDU at 05.40 hrs, Buxar at 07.00 hrs, Ara at 07.50 hrs. In return, train number-01706 Danapur-Jabalpur Holi Special will leave Danapur on 12 March, 2025 at 11.45 hrs and reach Ara at 12.18 hrs, Buxar at 13.08 hrs, DDU at 15.05 hrs and reach Jabalpur at 03.40 hrs the next day.

Rani Kamlapati-Danapur Holi Special Train

Train number-01661 Rani Kamalapati-Danapur Holi Special will leave Rani Kamalapati at 14.25 hrs on 12th & 15th March, stopping at DDU at 05.40 hrs, Buxar at 07.00 hrs, Ara at 07.50 hrs and reach Danapur at 08.45 hrs the next day. In the return journey, train number-01662 Danapur-Rani Kamalapati Holi Special will leave Danapur at 11.45 hrs on 13th & 16th March, stopping at Ara at 12.28 hrs, Buxar at 13.18 hrs, DDU at 15.05 hrs and reach Rani Kamalapati at 09.50 hrs the next day.

Kota-Danapur Holi Special Train

Train number-09817 Kota-Danapur Holi Special will leave Kota at 21.25 hrs on 08 & 15 March, stopping at DDU at 15.10 hrs, Buxar at 16.28 hrs, Ara at 17.15 hrs and reach Danapur at 18.30 hrs on the next day. In the return journey, train number-09818 Danapur-Kota Holi Special will leave Danapur at 21.15 hrs on 09 & 16 March, stopping at Ara at 21.45 hrs, Buxar at 23.20 hrs and reaching Kota at 22.25 hrs on the next day, stopping at DDU at 02.00 hrs.

04082 (from Katra): This train will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 09:30 pm and reach New Delhi at 09:30 am the next day. This train will run on 9, 11, 13, 16 and 18 March.

This train will stop at Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Jammu Tawi and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan stations.

Holi Special Trains: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Varanasi Junction – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special Express (04604/04603)

04604 (from Katra): This train will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 06:15 pm and reach Varanasi at 07:00 pm the next day. This train will run on 9 and 16 March.

04603 (from Varanasi): This train will leave Varanasi Junction at 02:35 pm and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11:25 am the next day. This train will run on 11 and 18 March.

This train will stop at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan, Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantonment, Jalandhar Cantonment, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantonment, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Rae Bareli and Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh stations.

This train will stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Gonda and Basti stations.

Holi Special Trains: Chandigarh Junction – Gorakhpur Junction – Chandigarh Junction Special Express Train (04504/04503)

04504 (from Chandigarh): This train will leave from Chandigarh Junction at 11:35 pm and reach Gorakhpur the next day at 05:35 pm. This train will run on 06, 13 and 20 March.

04503 (from Gorakhpur): This train will leave Gorakhpur Junction at 10:05 pm and reach Chandigarh Junction at 02:10 pm the next day. This train will run on 07, 14 and 21 March.

These trains run between Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg. -Plans have been made to connect major destinations across the country on railway routes like Patna, Barauni-Surat etc.

Work done for the security of passengers

Crowd control measures are being ensured by forming queues under the supervision of Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff at terminus stations for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches.

To ensure the safety of passengers, additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations. To ensure smooth operation of trains, officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations. Employees have been deployed in various sections to remove any disruption in train service on priority basis.

Measures have been taken to ensure consistent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers.

Train number 05270: Will leave Balsad every Sunday at 13.45 hrs from 12th March to 19th March. Will reach Muzaffarpur at 02.30 hrs on Tuesday.
