District Magistrate Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Agarwal has ordered to keep meat and liquor shops closed on 11th and 12th February 2025 in Jalandhar district in view of the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji on 12th February and the Shobha Yatra being taken out by various religious organizations in this regard on 11th February, keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the people and in order to maintain the law and order situation, in exercise of the powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023, during the said event, meat and liquor shops have been ordered to remain closed on 11th and 12th February 2025 along the route of the Shobha Yatra and near the place of the religious function.
