]]> Holidays in Punjab schools- Although there has been a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, tension still persists in the border districts of Punjab, keeping this in mind, special orders have been issued by the Deputy Commissioners of the border districts.

The DC of Gurdaspur district has ordered to keep 4 schools in villages in border areas closed till May 20. These schools are Government Primary School Jaura, Government Primary School Shakri, Government Primary School Rampur, Government Primary School Thakarpur. As per the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur, online classes will be conducted in these schools till May 20.

The DC himself will take the next decision on when classes will resume in these schools and when children will be called to school.

The list of holidays in the month of March has come. The festival of Holi is coming on Friday, March 14, due to which there will be a government holiday. On this occasion, all schools, colleges and educational institutions will be closed. In many states including Uttar Pradesh, a four-day holiday has been declared due to Holi and Holika Dahan. During this, all schools, colleges, banks and government offices in the state will be closed. That is, if you have any important work related to the bank or government office, then these holidays have been announced according to the official calendar of the Uttar Pradesh government, so that people can enjoy the festival to the fullest.

This year, there will be four consecutive holidays in Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Holi. March 13 will be a government holiday due to Holika Dahan and March 14 due to Holi. During this, all government offices, schools and recognized basic schools will remain closed. March 15 will be the second Saturday, so all banks will remain closed and March 16 will be a weekly holiday. If you are thinking of going somewhere outside during the holidays, then this month is right for you.

This time in the 31-day month of March, while there are 5 Sundays, there are also 4 government holidays (school closed), out of which two are reserved holidays while one government holiday is falling on a Sunday. Apart from this, the martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru will be celebrated on March 23. The International Women’s Day holiday is coming up on Saturday, March 8, due to which there will be a reserved holiday in the entire Punjab. Apart from this, Hola Mohalla is coming up on Saturday, March 15. Reserved holidays have been declared for March 8 and March 15. It is worth mentioning that in the month of March, where 5 Sundays are coming up, there are also 5 Saturdays coming up, many schools in the state also have Saturday holidays.

]]> A holiday has been declared in schools in Mansa district on Saturday, January 18. In this regard, District Magistrate Kulwant Singh said that it has come to the notice of the District Education Officer that the entrance examination for class 6 is being conducted in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya on January 18, 2025 from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Exercising the powers vested in him under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the District Magistrate has declared a one-day holiday (only for the students of the schools) in the schools designated for this examination.

He said that this examination will be held in Government Secondary School (Girls) Budhlada, Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) Budhlada, Government Secondary School (Boys) Bareta, Government Secondary School (Girls) Bareta, Government Secondary School Jhunir, Government Secondary School Bhamme Kalan, Government Secondary School (Girls) Sardulgarh, Government Secondary School (Boys) Sardulgarh, Government Secondary School (Girls) Mansa and Government Secondary School (Boys) Mansa.

Therefore, a one-day holiday has been declared for school students on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The District Magistrate said that all the staff of the said schools will be present in the schools as usual. This holiday will be under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
